Did they change the reset timer for daily rewards?

I play in the Pacific Timezone US, the old time was 4 or 5 PM depending on DST, so it was really easy to play in the morning, get involved with some other chores, hang out with friends, and have a busy next morning, and then log in in the afternoon and miss a day despite logging in every day.

With this change the login rewards will turn over very early morning for people who play locally to the servers, making it much hard to play every day and still miss a day.

Not really sure why people think that is a bad change, I guess resistance to change, since all the ones complaining about it in this thread don't give any reasoning.

Really good and thoughtful change. Thanks ZOS.

I can tell you why I think its a bad change. because its different times for different servers. maybe if you don't play on both servers, or your play times just happen to not be affected by this change - then it doesn't bother you. but for me, some of the time I would log in just after regular dailies reset and do my new endeavors as well as pick up daily rewards - at the same time for both my EU and US characters. it helped a lot when I knew I was going to have a long day ahead of me and will not be able to sit down to play until the day was over. now? I cannot do that anymore. because reset time for US is hours later now vs EU.

we have so many disparate reset timers already. why? WHY add even more to the confusion?

and to be clear. I do not care about specific time reset because 24 hours is 24 hours, I can adjust and so can everyone else - you have 24 hours to play between resets REGARDLESS of what time that reset happens. I DO however dislike strongly the fact that servers have DIFFERENT RESET TIMERS now.

It is a daily reward, different servers serve different global regions, the time the reward becomes available should reflect the local time of the server as that benefits the most people. Having the US daily reward not be available until almost 3/4 though the calendar game was stupid and should have been changed to be closer to the calendar day a long time ago.

24 hours is still 24 hours, you say you can adjust, don't log in until after the US reward becomes available and then you can get both at the same time.

Darn, I should have read the patch notes closer, I got the Tickets just past the old reset for the witch's event, had I got on in time I could have got another pair just after the new reset after the update...

this change only affected the login rewards

the daily reset time for like daily quests (writs, pledges, any other daily quest) i believe is still unchanged

again, because the timers are disparate, I either have to log in TWICE, or severely limit my window of play or fall behind. rewards resetting at the SAME TIME makes a lot more sense that having dozens of different timers having yet another different timer added to it.

for example. with old timer, I could log in right after dailies reset before event ended (yet another nonsensical timer that should have been rolled into daily reset instead of starting 8 hours after it but I digress) - pick up daily login rewards on BOTH servers, finish daily events AND get tickets on BOTH servers and not have to remember anything until the next day. but with the change, now I had to remember to log in later in a day for US server only. so that was fun.

staggered reset timers make NO sense in a game where both servers available on the same copy of the game and a good number of players either plays on both or on a server that is not the one where they live (a lot of oceanic players play on US server, for example). because its not just 24 hour. its different 24 hour, with much smaller overlap between the 2.

This change just means more accessibility to your daily rewards now.

no, it means less if you play on both servers. it means unless you are lucky player whose gametime already fell into still existing overlap, there is a good chance you'd have to log in more the once to pick up different rewards.

Can anyone explain how to log the same account onto both NA and EU servers at the same time? I’d like to experience this problem too.

This is really annoying. I keep missing the US daily rewards now, because they are on a different timer than the EU rewards. So I can't just log in to each server, get rewards. No, now I have to specifically wait for the US ones to become available, so keep on missing them cus it's inconvenient. Very very inconvenient! ><
