Rewards for reporting gold sellers & bots?

I like the fact you've decided to reach out to the community to assist with tracking down the gold sellers that are blighting the game but feel you could have gone a step further to display a willingness to fix the issue outright rather than just stop the mass dropout around the time the first months renewal is about to hit. You've asked people to take time out of their paid gameplay to do something you should really be spending our subscription fees on. Why are you not offering a reward of additional gameplay time as a way of thanking the community member if they report a gold seller and it results in a ban being made? This should also be roled out for the reporting of bots.

You want game time for the time you lost reporting bots?
That's like 10 seconds per bot. Lol.

Zenimax should be monitoring this themselves really especially when you consider the cost of the game plus subscription. The point I was trying to make is that its fine for them to turn to the community to ask for assistance but it would be nice to get something back as a gesture of goodwill...no?

This topic seems to come up a lot.

No, you will not be rewarded for reporting people, that is just silly and has too much potential for abuse.

Yes, you should still report people who are violating the terms of service, that is just good community action at work. Think of yourself like a neighborhood watch, you report people doing suspicious things to protect your community, in this case, the ESO community at large.

Stupid idea but i'd thought that would be quite obvious. Anyways i'll play along. Sure when they give us rewards for reporting bots and goldsellers i'll just wait for the addon that automaticly reports every player i ever come in contact with. I mean some of them are bound to pay off so i can get rewarded! :)

    See the issue yet?

I find it completely fair that Zeni are encouraging players to report spammers and bots - especially since it's a near impossible task for them to monitor every single thing posted in chat and sent via PM. The spammers are always changing account names and what they type in their messages, so it's pretty difficult to put in filters that last for very long, because as soon as the spammers find out, they just find a way around it.
As for wanting a reward, I really don't see a need for it - and like others have mentioned, it just opens a whole new Pandora's box.

I am really tired of all the ppl whining about "lost game time" and "we want compensation". Some of us actually have full time lives, and personally I'm glad I even have time to play it! :disagree:

Dont like to, and dont want to help? Dont do it, no worries, someone else will report them. But dont expect reward for something that takes 5 sec of your precious game time. It is only to make game better FOR US, you are not doing their work really.
When i log in my low lvl alt, and see less spam in channels, that means that those minutes me and others spent reporting spammers, was worth it. And it is reward itself.

I would like to punish bots with PvP. The ones that hide under the landscape would be harder to take out, though.
