So if you don't have a CC and decided to use a gamecard to activate your game you don't get the 5 days?
The eligibility says subscription... so it's essentially just another "*** you" you ppl who don't want or can't sub via a CC... thanks ZOS...

How are you playing right now? Via gamecard? There you go, your account is active and therefore you get the 5 days.

Gamecard does not specifically mean a subscription... In fact, 'Manage Subscription' when using a gamecard takes you to the start a subscription page...

Got my email stating they are going to be giving out the 5 free days, but i still didn't get it yet. I still have another 4 days, so im sure it will come shortly.

There's two emails about it.. first i got one with title "5 Days of Complimentary Elder Scrolls Online Game Time. Learn More", but the extra days were not applied with it.

The right mail is with title "Elder Scrolls Online - Code Redemption" .. it contains a timecode, tho no need to manually activate it, it activates automatically (atleast in my case)

Actually a gamecard gives you an active but non recurring subscription (its right there in your account page). It is a subscription, it is active so you should get the 5 days. Just need to wait since they said it would take them 72 hrs to cover everyone

You dont need to add it as they have done it for you.The code is just a reference.

I think it's laughable to hand out free game time when there are so many people that can't even log in to the game. For the last 7-8 days I have only been able to load my characters 5-6 times. Characters try to load into the world and get booted back to the login screen. Yes, I have read every single post and discussion about this issue and tried everything imaginable to remedy it. As I type this I have been trying to load multiple characters for the last 4 hours with not a single successful attempt.

So thanks zenimax, thanks for the 5 day extension (I would call it game time, but, well...you catch my drift). If common sense had prevailed you would have given us a unique code or some built in account functionality to choose when we wanted to use the 5 days.

Looks like you have 5 days more to see if you lose a heap of subscribers.

Don't really know why it's so hard to grasp the concept of things like this taking time for some folks. Granted I'm not going to pretend to know what the current sub numbers for ESO are. However that being said even if it's just a million people that's still quite a few accounts to get the extra five days added to.

Target time is to have all active accounts from prior to May 1st have their bonus time added by May 4th at 8 PM. You guys freaking out over this need to at least calm down and put away the pitchforks until after that time passes :P

Yes, yesterday at 11:09am.

It's true, it takes time, even at a rate of 10 accounts a second that would be 864,000 accounts in a 24 hour period. They can probably do faster than that, but it really depends on how much they want to tax their account database and email system. However, even at 10 they can still get 2.5 million handled in 3 days.

If they are indexing on expire date (which means first to expire gets their mail first and last to expire get their names last) people who are expiring Monday will get them first and people are expiring on May 31 (someone who activated their game on May 1) would get their code last.

Update: Just turned on PC and went straight to email (as I normally do) and have got the five day plus email. Checked account and the days are added.
