Allow Companions to Activate Synergies?

I don't see the harm in allowing our companions to activate a synergy if we decide to slot something like from the undaunted skill-line.

A companion should be allowed to use a synergy and have a cool-down timer before they use it again.

This might also encourage more players to use these skills in dungeons if they get more familiarity with using them with their companions.

That would actually make companions useful.

    I'm all for it.

I find companions to be about as useless as useless gets, but I can see no reason why they shouldn't be able to smash your synergies.

Companions still need a lot of work for interaction and combat. Synergies definitely have to be activated by them.

Yeah I agree this would be good.

I also think that they should share in the food that we eat or at least give us new foods/recipes specifically for our companions and a food slot in their menu or somewhere to put said food.

I wish they could pick you up if you are in a group. Anything that requires a group, it's just me, my OH and the companions, If one of us goes down it would be better if a comp could res the fallen player. If both of us were down, I would expect the fight to reset.

But yes, let them use synergies too :)

Still my biggest gripe about companions: that my grandmaster crafter can't make anything useable for an npc is that is of a standard humanoid, playable race.

You'd likely need to implement a function to control the usage so that the companion wasn't activating synergies that you'd want to activate yourself or have a group member activate.

Yeah, they really missed the mark on companion gear. It's weirdly grindy, and just doesn't feel impactful. It would even be another area to open up for trait research, etc. It's just really hard for me to get excited about developing my companion the way its setup. The only companion I have really leveled is Miri, but whether I have her spec'ed for full heals or full DPS, and regardless of the gear she is in, the only time I notice her is when she drags an enemy out of my ultimate.
