Horse Stamina is infinite?

I noticed that a horse's stamina is infinite... so whats the point of feeding a horse to gain more stamina?

its a bug im sure... I'd feed for bag space.

In the AMA they suggested it was intentional, that its meant to be that you need a certain amount of stamina to start to sprint, and that having none means that you just immediately get knocked off fast, so stamima is meant more for letting you take more hits and stay mounted.

At least, that's how I read it. I'll admit it wasn't 100% air tight clear. But because of the comment I lean toward it being intentional as it is, for what it's worth.

Edit: here is a link to what I'm referring:

My horse's stamina is definitely not infinite. I feed it for bag space and if I want to sprint I only have like 3-4 seconds before it runs out... Could be a bug?

Maybe it should not say infinite stamina, but infinite sprinting. Running out of stamina does not stop sprinting. You have to let go of the button or else fall off the horse.

I had thought it was a bug at first, but it does make sense that a horse could sprint for much longer than the stamina bar allows. The problem is that currently it makes stamina-focused horses nearly useless. I'm buying one anyway just because I like black horses, but the smart money is on the other two options.

Some refinement is necessary, if this isn't a bug.

It was different in beta and it is a bug.

Back then the horse animations looked not that good so they changed them to "look better" and after said patch you could sprint forever.

Well I must have a bug because when I gallop my horse along he burns stamina. What is this infinite stamina you speak of?

Stamina is used not just for sprinting. It is also horse's "endurance" for damage incoming, so while you can sprint when you hit 0 stamina, you'll be dismounted after taking tiniest hit.

That's quite logical from PVP point of view - distances are big, and there's a lot of guys who want you dismounted. So you either moving fast or can run away if necessary.

When you run out of stamina dont loose your shift key... horse will continue
    galopping.

But you should not sprint with no stamina... that´s the bug.
There was never a patch note like "you dont need stamina to sprint".
The only patch note was "we improved horse animation" and it seems like that animation will not stop after running out of stamina => infinitive sprint.

Don´t start with logic when claiming that a horse can sprint forever.

I think stamina points on the horse should add to an innate reservoir of endurance that isn't affected by sprinting, only being hit. That way the stamina stat becomes relevant for them again. One can have more carry space, more speed, or a higher likelihood not to be dismounted when the horse is fatigued.

I'm pretty sure it was intended.

My point is, it's about sprinting and endurance working together, not separately.
If you have horse with high stamina you can take more hits and sprint longer for same amount of hits taken as "speed breed".

It was different in beta and there was never a patchnote about a change!

Well according to the feeding description having stamina allows you to sprint longer, so I vote for bug.
