These little fire throwing Imps hit like a ten ton truck and often found in pairs in the world, any one else thinks they need to be toned down in both hp and damage?
really? i don't find them that hard, dodge the aoe ring of flame they aim on you and the rolling flame move they do on floor towards you and they are easy, but then i am a hardhitting single target dps, i don't know what class you are or even if your veteran, how are they hurting you so much?
Yes I agree with previous poster, run right up to them and interrupt, it finishes them off in no time, try ranged shots and it's difficult to keep out of the fire, face to face and melee them
Scamps provide a unique challenge. Especially in numbers.
But there is an NPC who points that out to you in one of the quests!
They are designed to work as a team of high damage output, a single Scamp on its own is no more dangerous than a firefly.
But stick 3 of them down and it changes.
As a Crafting based healer, with very little DPS what I do to fight scamps, or most of the grouped up enemies.
I use Entropy(?) mages guild spell to drain their life and give it to me, I use this on all of them at once. I allow my restoring twilight to do a majority of the damage while I dodge and throw out the occasional heal or damage attack.
Or waste mana and nuke them until they explode with lightning, its depends on if they severely outnumber/level me.
Nah , well i played only to vet2 , so i cant really talk about the whole thing , but i have not found them to be a huge problem , and i play a templar vampire , which kinda of makes them hit me harder than most.
If anything i think they should better balance bosses in veteran.
There are some bosses ... honestly zen , if you want a boss to be able to self heal , cc , give dmg ... atleast make the damm *** not immu to my cc. Or stop making these encounters solo.
Really , some bosses ...

Poor little fellas, they never asked to summoned to Tamrial you know. Their parents must be going crazy with worry. It is our duty to send them back on the end of a firebolt, sword or what have you.
I really hate scamps. Especially in groups. I don't know why they bother me so much. I can two-shot an equal level necromancer or there-shot a pack of wolves, but a pair of scamps will usually take me done to 1/3 of my health.
I'm not calling for a nerf. I just know that I must be doing something wrong.
Personally I think it's nice to see a mob that can give people a headache. There's very little any serious challenge in these games any more, and when there is people want it removed!
Allow me to be an anarchist and ask for them to be tougher still!
there is also a thing called making the game to easy, Im with most of the people in this thread, its good to meet mobs that needs some kind of tactic to actually beat, like kiting, dorge, skill switching and so on.
Dont stand like a statue and take the heat, move around, thats what your feet it for
Although, it's not their long wall of fire, or their ring of fire, that kills me. It's those obnoxious fireballs they spam at me. 3 of them tossing them at me takes me down pretty quickly.
One scamp I can usually handle without issue. With two, my tactics change: I burn one down as quickly as possible at the start, and the second one I usually pray through the whole fight.
Three or more scamps: I sneak away/around, and hope that they don't see me.
I think another thing that makes a difference (that I didn't see mentioned in here) is that there's a trend going on where people are dropping all of their attribute points into health. I've been spreading mine around. So, most likely a lot of people have the health pool to survive getting spammed with fireballs over and over.
The moment you call someone stupid, or try to display your opinion as "fact", you lose all credibility.
silver bolts in the fighters guild tree obliterates scamps. it's ranged and knocks them down and gives you plenty of time to use 1 or even 2 heavy weapon attacks. even against groups of scamps i've found them 10x easier with silver bolts on my bar.
i was levelling 1h+shield on my VR2 templar, silver bolts > heavy attack > heavy attack > silver bolts > heavy attack > heavy attack > dead scamp

Silver Bolts is just so strong against most of the mobs you face in this game you'd have to be a moron not to have it on your bar (if you knew about it). I had ignored the fighter's guild tree until a friend was telling me about that ability. I have it on everyone now, it's just that strong (perhaps too strong).
