At Vivec City run trough right side of bank when going south to consumables board / turning in, left side of bank when coming back to durables board. It adds only a second or two and after a while you don't have to think about it. ToT nagging will give a reminder if you forget or stray too close.

You should go to Rawl'kha and listen to that shrill female Khajiit sentencing Finedrin to the stocks since 2014. Then maybe you have something to complain about :D

"Finedrin was sentenced to the stocks for dumping refuge on the head of the Altmer Commander, Faruin, during his visit to the Rawl'kha Clan Mother...:

I 2nd or 200th that motion. Put her someplace else. Next to the Guild traders maybe. Still high traffic area but set her far enough off the path i can get my horse training done without hearing her mouth constantly.

    What am I missing?

There are a lot more NPCs who trigger their advertisements than just this card game one. All the DLC Prequels for example. Some I pick up the quest, if I plan on doing it sometime in the far future. A lot I don't pick up. Sure, I hear them every time I go past them... so what? Nothing triggers Every time you pass it. It triggers the first time after you have logged in for that session, and if you have not picked it up, the next time you go past them, they say nothing. They only trigger every Other time you pass them.

And quite frankly, none of them has ever bothered me to the point that it affects my gameplay.

I suppose its the culture we have evolved into. How overly sensitive have people become?

They have the tech for AI NPCs who can talk like real people.
Maybe it's coming in the next big WoW killer MMORPG ...lol

Then we can get big retail sponsors to start hawking Coca-Cola and McDonald's at every wayshrine.

Fortunately I do my daily writs in Leyawiin so the only NPC I need to accept the quest so she doesn't follow me all the way to the vendor is Bera Moorsmith.

However I wouldn't be opposed to having an in-game option to 'disable town criers'. Could even be more granular and have the option to 'silence' and also to 'remove'.

I'm sure Bera would follow me, staring in disapproval even if silenced.

It’s in game advertising for the chapter, it may not be of interest to you, but another player may learn about it this way and be interested.

Honestly the quest barkers, when I am on my alts, don’t bother me too much. My only wish is that they had some alternative lines of dialogue so it’s not the same lines every time.

Erm just start it to shut her up?

Or go to Lleyawin. Unless you are still training horses it is 100% better for writs than Vivec.

No offense to the VA, but I find her announcement unbearably loud, like a TV ad. Every time I port into Solitude or pass her in Alinor, her call literally makes me jump. The others (Stuga, "Dragons!", that Ivory Brigade guy etc) otoh sound, well, normal.

And while we're getting rid of ToT, can we also change the battlefield quest to not require completing a battlefield? I don't want to do a battlefield, but at some point, I will to get rid of the marker and its not fair to the other 3 people to have a teammate that refuses to participate and just waits for the match to end.

    Great solution, thanks.
I have being doing crafting in Vivec since 2018 because it's my favourite spot, I will stop because a stupid npc has to endlessy shout about a game of cards for which I have zero interest.
Anyone else has some other great advice?

    Pick up the tutorial quest.

Go to Gonfalon Bay Gambling Hall.

Play ToT or as do as Sammy does, which is to click wildly and randomly.

Lose, win, whatever you will still get (mediocre) loot.

Return to Vivec and praise The Three.

Nah I don't want to add to the player statistics that ZoS will use to say TOT is successful and well received. I'll use the "Shut yer trap" addon instead to solve the issue. It'll also take care of Stuga and the dragons in your own homeland NPC on my alts too.

I have ZERO interest in doing the intro quest on all my characters because I will only ever play the card game (that doesn't really interest me beyond a very occasional game anyway) on one character. This NPC is what made me finally mute the game.

That led to me enjoying the game less and... now I'm playing less and just logging in for trials instead of all the other things I used to enjoy. I'm sure this NPC isn't the only reason, but the little things are all stacking up at this point.

Please remove this NPC, or at least make it so you only need to do the quest on ONE character. (I feel bad for those who don't have High Isle as well; they shouldn't get annoyed by this.)

Her announcement is too long. It's made worse with that syrupy fake-enthusiast voice acting. Please stop using that. It's worse than if you used a yoldeler.

Do your crafting writs in Summerset. If you have done the one quest where you save the sea captain, just park outside the crafting area when you log out. If you have the Banker assistant, then you wont miss Vivec.

Or, Rawkla. Or Rivenspire. Or Shadowfen. Or, Hollow City.

Vivec is really handy for characters that still need riding lessons. Once they finish those I move to a different city. While in Vivec I run around the other side of the bank after turning in writs. Doesn't take any longer and I don't get yelled at.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

I can't stand the announce and purposely route around to not hear it. I do not want to play any card games. Most of the quest marked people normally mumble something or don't say anything vs yelling like a fool.

I think Vivec is the most convenient spot for writs. All the stations are right there, the bank is right in the middle - WITHOUT having a door/load screen - hand-in boxes are close by, there's a wayshrine, guild traders, go just a little further and you've got stables and event emporium - And it's accessible to everyone now.

I don't have High Isle, and I don't want a quest clogging up my journal. I like the convenience of Vivec (saying that, I HATE the cantons so much, ugh)

I think she is purposefully annoying to make you pick up the quest, simple as that.

Also, I can't believe someone tried to make this into a "kids today are too sensitive!" issue. Annoying is annoying, regardless of your generation.

As I have said Vive City my favourite spot, cause I'm Dunmer, I love the place and also because is the best spot to do writs.
So, no, I don't want to change my place only beacuse someone at ZoS thought that spamming that annoying advertisement was a good idea.
Pestering people that only want to relax in a game is not a good idea.
