I favor Mournhold in Deshaan.
If you don't agree...Deshame on you! (sorry seemed funny at the time)

The building are amazing and the market and crafting stations are all close by - along with the drop off points.

Undaunted camp nearby. It is a good place.

2nd Place - Cold Harbor - so cool (sorry could not resist).
Seriously - it is slick! And so easy to find herbs!

The rest of you?

    Favorite Foods and Potions
    https://media.giphy.com/media/3otPoTggaYFNd1FdAI/giphy.gif
    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

I park my toons in Vulkhel (Auridon), because there, everything is available within a rather small zone, including guilds and thieves hideout. So it's very practical.

Also, it's at the see on one side and with a nice green landscape on the other side. It has a nice day light, it's not a maze, it's not dark, it has a warm atmosphere... I wouldn't say that it's the nicest town of all in term of buildings, but for me it's the nicest place to be.

I'm fond of Daggerfall. Because I made DC characters, Daggerfall was the first city that I used. A very long time ago, Orcs would dance on top of the water fountain that is next to the bank at the certain time. I think it was 9 or 10 pm est. Players would role play in the courtyard near the fountain. I was too shy to join in, but I enjoyed being around the dancing orcs and role players.

Now I spend more time in Vivec City because of daily writs. It occasionally has some players having fun there by getting on top of the structures and throwing mud balls. I encountered two beggers next to the wayshine a few days in a row last year. They were especially entertaining as they persistently stayed true to their role play.

That's all I can say as it is getting late here.

Rawl'kha has been my favorite city since the first time I saw it.

    All roads lead to Rawl'kha
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

I agree about the Hollow City, it's really nice, if it was in Tamriel with Nirn's sky and all the buildings intact, it would be even nicer. Same for the Imperial City, I think it would be the most beautiful city in the game if it was restored. Come to think of it, Senchal before the fires, and Elinhir before the mages, as well. From an aesthetic point of view I also really like Lillandril, Shimmerene, Skywatch, Davon's Watch, Markarth, and the Brass Fortress. Layout-wise and sentimental-wise I like Raw'lkha, and I'm also fond of Vulkhel Guard and Belkarth because of familiarity.

Mine vary depending on the "whys":

Vivec for crafting, followed by Leyawiin.

Gonfalon Bay for ambience, followed by Leyawiin.

Fargrave for sheer "difference" and total "otherworld" flavor.

Elden Root for the massive tree.

Rimmen because Khajiit are one of my favorite races, and I think that city is superb for overall relation to the Khajiit race and vibe.

For business Mournhold, it's got everything in close proximity to the way shrine (writs, undaunted, guild dailies, guild stores, etc.) there are no loads between zones like Elden Root to get in the guilds, or Leyawiin to get in the bank. Once your there you have instant access to whatever daily grind you're into.

For aesthetics Fargrave, it matches the actual playerbase the best with all the colorful and creative character designs that players create and their flashy mounts/pets Fargrave fits that theme the best, it clashes horribly from a lore perspective everywhere else in the game except Fargrave. It's too bad that Fargrave has a horrible layout and is littered with load screens.

Rawl'kha - Very convenient because of how compact it is and the nomadic traditions of Anequina give it an excuse for its lack of (NPC) houses.
Mournhold - The most convenient alliance capital.
Alinor - Ornate and convenient, except that it takes slightly longer to teleport to the inn room and leave that inn than in other cities.
Solitude - Interesting NPCs that offer something we didn't already hear in TESV.
Abah's Landing - Great lore and lots of three dimensional routes over and alongside the roofs, but rather spread out. I'd prefer it if there was a wayshrine inside in the Thieves Guild and one within the city itself.
Clockwork City - Imaginative sci-fi and a lot to do there with four types of daily quests.
Fargrave - Like Clockwork City with fantasy instead of sci-fi, fewer types dailies and horrible layout for loading screens.
Vastyr - It has the style of Gonfalon Bay, but more compact and with a druid's district! While the exterior is split into two areas, the designers took care to put all the features essential for daily business in the east, while using the west for parts of the main quest, NPCs who optionally provide details for dailies and the guilds. Speaking of which, I always like a unique looking Mages Guild building, but a member of the Fighters Guild described it as follows:
