Welcome to The Elder Scrolls Online v8.2.0 and the final DLC in this year’s Legacy of the Bretons adventure: Firesong! In this update, you can explore the island of Galen and dive deep into the culture and histories of Tamriel’s druids. While doing so, collect new item sets, unique collectibles, Antiquities, achievements, and more. You’ll also be able to discover a new Tales of Tribute Patron deck during your adventures through Firesong – The Druid King.

In the Update 36 base game patch, we’ve added a new Target Marker system that allows you to mark allies, enemies, and even yourself with a unique icon. There are also several Housing quality of life improvements, along with a new setting to hide pets around some of the more busy interaction stations in towns. For PvP, Emperor bonuses will now scale depending on how many home Keeps you own, and we’ve added Armory Stations in both Cyrodiil and Imperial City.

We’ve copied all PC NA characters for this week and also have two templates you can utilize for testing. We encourage you to submit any feedback or bugs you come across in-game utilizing /feedback or /bug respectively. This latest update is approximately 2.38GB in size. Thank you and enjoy!

In this update, we’re supplying two templates for you to utilize – a max level template and one beginning at level 25. Both templates will have you start at the Vastyr Outskirts Wayshrine (just outside of the main city of Vastyr) and the templates also have the High Isle chapter unlocked.
    • The Max Level template has the following additions:
      • Moved the Lost Depths Item Sets into the Dungeon Sets, Monster Masks and Rewards for the Worthy item bags.
      • New Firesong Item Sets for Overland and Mythic items are available.
      • Treasure Hunter’s Parcel includes the Galen Treasure Maps.
      • Added Survey Reports for High Isle.
      • Added the Firesong Style Items to the Crafter’s Style Materials Crate IV.
      • Added the Firesong Motifs to the Crafter’s Limitless Library Volume III.
      • Added Firesong Collectibles to the Costumer’s Wardrobe.
      • Companion introductory quests are now automatically completed so you can immediately use all 4 Companions.
      • The Tales of Tribute introductory quest is now automatically completed so you can immediately play Tales of Tribute.
      • The Druid King Tales of Tribute Patron deck and card upgrades are automatically unlocked.
    • In addition to new collectibles, we identified several older collectibles that were not present in the Costumer's Wardrobe box and have since been added, including the following:
      • Costumes
        • Antiquarian Field Garb
        • Antiquarian Robes
        • Covenant Scout
        • Lion Guard Knight
        • Mages Guild Formal Robes
        • Master Field Cartographer

      • Emotes
        • Aldmeri Dominion Banner
        • Alinor Allemande
        • Bull Horns
        • Cardsharp
        • Daggerfall Covenant Banner
        • Ebonheart Pact Banner
        • Guar Stomp
        • Marshmallow Toasty Treat
        • Wickerman Mishap
      • Hats
        • Ayleid Royal Crown
        • Mask of Alkosh
        • Oblivion Explorer’s Headwrap

      • Skins
        • Deadlands Scorcher
        • Seaborn Silver
        • Sunspire Ice-Fire
    • We also overhauled The Homeowner's Crate to help you find the newest furnishings and better locate other furnishings within this crate. Items within this container include the following:
      • The Firesong Recipe Envelope is a completely new PTS item that grants all 50 new craftable furnishing recipe items introduced in Galen.
      • The Firesong Reward Furnishing Crate is another new PTS item that gives all 9 new items introduced via Antiquities and Tales of Tribute.
      • The Firesong Merchants Furnishing Crate is yet another new PTS item that grants all 20 new furnishings that can be found on the Achievement or Home Goods vendors.
      • The Crafting Station Crate will award the Attunable Stations for Blacksmithing, Clothing, Jewelrycrafting, and Woodworking, as well as basic placeable stations for Blacksmithing, Clothing, Woodworking, Alchemy, Enchanting, Outfit, Provisioning, Jewelrycrafting, and Transmutation.
      • The Target Dummy Crate will award various base game Target Dummies, along with the Praxis to make the basic humanoid dummy.
      • The High Isle Housing Pack and Lost Depths Housing Pack contain all Recipes, Master Writs, Collectibles, and furnishings from High Isle and Lost Depths DLCs respectively, organized within a series of sub-containers to keep them from being too confusing.
      • If you’ve used the Previous Furniture Recipes Book item, you will now learn all Furnishing crafting knowledge from the Housing System’s launch up through the Lost Depths DLC.
      • The aptly-named All Previous Collectible Furnishing Crate will award all previous Collectible furnishings, including Dungeon Busts and Trophies, and Collectibles earned through overland zone content.
      • The All Previous Item Furnishing Crate contains all previous item-based furnishings acquired through Achievements, Item Drops, PVP and Antiquities, currently organized in a series of sub-containers.
      • Updated the Furnisher's Materials Crate to recursively re-award itself along with the previously available materials (Regulus, Bast, Clean Pelt, Mundane Rune, Alchemical Resin, Decorative Wax, Heartwood, Ochre, Animus Stone, and Dwarven Construct Repair Parts).
      • The previous smaller Deeds envelopes have been consolidated into a single item, the All Home Deeds Envelope, which has been updated to include all homes introduced up through the latest house.

    Furnishings
    • All furnishings are currently missing their highlight when first choosing to place them in a home. As a temporary workaround, picking the item up again in the editor will display the proper highlight.

    6qx16rif3tse.png
    Templates
    • Creating a character using the level 25 template will set the Champion Points on all characters (regardless if they are copied or templates) on your PTS account to zero. Creating another character using the max level template will set your Champion Points to 3600, but you will need to redistribute your points again. This issue will be fixed in a future PTS patch and only affects characters on the PTS.

    General
    • Fixed an issue where some ticking Area of Effect abilities could delay or miss their first tick, or could apply their effects out of sync with their tick rates.
    • Fixed an issue where re-zoning could cause your character to load a different ability bar in some rare cases.
    • Fixed an issue where Break Free’s animation could fail to play in situations when your character would be stunned mid-animation with effects such as Time Stop.
    • Death recaps will no longer taunt you with the concept of bringing a friend or using the grouping tool for solo arenas such as Maelstrom Arena.

    Dragonknight
    • Ardent Flame
      • Shifting Standard: Fixed an issue that would cause the Ability Bar Timer to reset after recasting the ability to move it.

    Templar
    • Dawn’s Wrath
      • Backlash: This ability and its morphs have been slightly reworked.
        • The final damage now deals a guaranteed amount of damage based on your highest offensive stats, rather than dealing damage based on the damage it took from you over the duration and with a cap based on your Weapon or Spell Damage.
        • The final damage deals approximately 10% more damage than the initial hit at base and increases up to an additional 200% to reach similar values of power seen before.
        • The final damage now takes more overall damage to reach, to make the payout less reliably reached in PvP scenarios.
        • These abilities are now once again limited to having one active at a time, to fix numerous exploits and bugs with the ability. This means if you cast the ability on another target while it is active, it will remove the previous cast.
          • Power of the Light (morph): Increased the duration of Minor Breach from this morph to 7-10 seconds, up from 6-9. This effect is also no longer tracked over the base ability with the Ability Timers option enabled, to help you keep track of the core ability instead.

    Warden
    • Animal Companions
      • Advanced Species: This passive now increases your Critical Damage done by 1/3%, rather than your Armor Penetration by 495/990.
        Developer Comment:
We’re shifting this passive’s focus away from raw damage and more into Critical damage, to help focus the class’s natural tendency to burst foes down. This change should also help bring up Light Armor focused Wardens, while toning down some of the power that their currently much stronger Medium Armor cousins have.
      • Feral Guardian: Fixed an issue where the bear from this Ultimate and its morphs could get stuck in a loop of trying to cast Crushing Swipe repeatedly until it perished or was crowd controlled. It was just trying to make you proud.
    • Green Balance
      • Healing Seed
        • Budding Seeds (morph): Fixed an issue where the final heal from this ability was centered on the caster, rather than the Area of Effect.
    • Winter’s Embrace
      • Arctic Wind
        • Arctic Blast (morph): Removed the target cap from the damage of this morph, as the damage is no longer tied to stunning enemies.
      • Piercing Cold: This passive now increases your damage done by 1/2% which increases to 5/10% while wielding an Ice Staff, rather than increasing your Magic and Frost Damage by 5/10%.
        Developer Comment:
This passive is currently creating issues with morph choices in the class, as Wardens have a healthy mix of damage types outside of Magic and Frost. Many morphs that are meant to focus on damage are either close to or even eclipsed by the more utility driven morphs that retain Magic Damage, and the lack of more DPS focused Ice Damage abilities (since they are predominantly made for tanks or utility) create a situation where this passive isn’t helping the unique identity of Ice Mages keep up with other play styles. By shifting the focus of the passive over to generic damage that contextually gets stronger for the audience the passive is made for, we hope to help bring that playstyle up a bit more.

    Weapon
    • Bow
      • Volley: Fixed an issue where this ability and its morphs only used your Weapon Critical, rather than dynamically scaling with whatever was higher.

    Alliance War
    • Assault
      • Vigor
        • Resolving Vigor (morph): Reduced the healing from this morph by approximately 10%.

    Racial
    • Khajiit
      • Robustness: This passive now increases your Health, Magicka, and Stamina Recovery by 90 at their final rank, rather than your Health Recovery by up to 100 and your Magicka and Stamina Recovery by up to 85.

    dslrleshft94.png
    Warfare
    • Occult Overload:
      • Reduced the damage per stage of this star to 1037, down from 2560.
      • This node now also applies a random status effect to enemies hit.
      • Added a cooldown of 1 second, to prevent cascading effects.
      • The damage no longer has a maximum target cap of 6.
      Developer Comment:
We’re toning down some of the burst damage of this effect, as well as its prevalence to operate like Vicious Death where it can cause cascading booms when you kill a large number of targets at the same time. The star doesn’t have enough drawbacks to justify the ease of access to instantly kill large groups of enemies, as well as being a bit overboard when used in tandem with other effects. To make up for this, though, we’re adding some more self-synergy to the effect where it will reward more booms back-to-back if you can manage to kill the affected targets within the time frame of the status applied, so it feels more controlled in risk reward situations rather than random.

    • Ember now can gain rapport more often when harvesting rune nodes in the world.
    • Fixed an issue where Mirri might not receive a rapport increase when turning in an Ashlander daily if you set your Companion reaction frequencies to minimal.
