Nearing the breaking point.

I'm furious at the moment so please excuse my tone.

I just spent 25+ minutes playing an exciting Tales of Tribute game only to have it error out on either my opponent's last turn or mine. One of us was going to win by breaking 80. This isn't the first time this has happened. In fact, with long games it seems to be a fairly common occurrence.

I'm not sure what the problem is. Why, 3 1/2 months after release, is this part of the game still bugging out? Why do certain High Isle bosses still not give credit when killed? Why are the collection parts of High Isle world boss quests still likely to bug out in a group (this issue has been around for years yet it continues to be included for these quests)? WHY? How do these things get released when they clearly aren't working properly? I understand the bugs on release. Months later? Sorry, that's not a good product.

My time is valuable, as is the money I spend on this game, and I assure you I've spent plenty since launch. I've always chuckled at people who come on the forums and shake their fist and state that they're quitting because of <insert a plethora of reasons here>. That said, I'm truly near my breaking point. I'm tired of [snip] code that simply can't be expected to work anymore wasting my time.

But hey, thanks for all the effort that went into nerfing my characters' dps while all these other problems persist.

Rant over. Cue the tiny violins.

It is probably related to the Inactivity Timer that gets in the way of careful character generation.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I don't know what their priority for fixing bugs is besides exploits (and the store!), but there are so many unresolved bugs, and with each update more and more get added to the list. I've been running dungeons for the Undaunted event lately, and the amount of long-standing bugs in dungeons that have been happening for years is really mind-boggling; bosses flying in the air, or disappearing, fights resetting, doors not opening, getting thrown off the map, quest NPCs not appearing... I guess at this point you have to wonder that since they belong to older content, they might never be addressed, and it's such a pity, not to mention the frustration when they interfere with gameplay and completion.

Now I know why I didn't get credit for "group boss" endeavor a few weeks back and it was a high isle boss .

The Eldertide Theurges were bugged for about 3 months. In late August Gina let us know the problem would be fixed in an incremental patch. What happened afterwards? The Ascendant Order Fanatics, who weren't bugged before, became so. Killing them wasn't credited either for the daily quest or the endeavor.

It's not for nothing that several people have suggested slowing down on new content in order to get these bugs sorted out (for example, here: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/617176/would-you-be-ok-with-zos-not-releasing-1-or-2-content-updates-and-fixed-bugs-instead#latest).

I wasn't real thrilled with the card game when it was announced. I do know that many people requested something like this though so am happy for them. I did decide to give it a chance. Played a few NPC opponents and decided to try against another player.
The other player was flipping the patrons to his favor and as soon as I flipped one back the other player realized they were not going to get a quick win. They quit, I didn't get credit for the win and haven't been back since.

I hope they work out the bugs for those that enjoy the game but I'm not going back. To many other fun things to do in game.

And slowing down new content wouldn't change anything. Different teams work on different aspects of the game. Takes a different skill set for troubleshooting compared to creating content.

I think someone had sense to make it so that if you take too long, it will bump you. I could be wrong. I mean it stops a protest of everybody logging in, playing tales of tribute and tabbing to a different thing.

Why do your feel that way? Probably because this chapter had more bugs at launch and has taken longer to get acknowledgement for them that before. Fixes seem to be nowhere on the horizon.

We have an Undaunted Event that I have to do without the group finder if I want to avoid a UI bug. Then I can get another, different but still game stopping, UI bug just from fast traveling.

Last time we had an Undaunted event with a group finder bug it was DOA within hours. Now we have to slog through this one and our lives are full of workarounds. No word of a fix for that or an extension of the event.

What UI bug? I've had a couple of times after someone declined I needed to drop queue the queue again but mostly group finder has been working really well for me.

There is a UI Error bug that causes an error log to pop-up right in the middle of your screen. Spamming X/dodgerolling can get rid of it, but not every time. It only happens when queuing with a random group.

Gina said in the stream we'll get the fix for this UI error next week. Right after the event that we need group finder for ends...
