In the next patch or the one after after a lot of these nerfs will be reverted.

Live right now is being used as the final test of this patch, and mark my words they will be reverting much of it.

I doubt it. Rather by circuitous route they will get us back to where we were by leaving as much of it place as possible but bending other stuff to get us back there, so there is never an admission of any fault whatever. That may take multiple updates.

^Agreed. And history would suggest this is exactly what they'll do if they intend to undo the DPS nerfs.

They took a similar approach to "reverting" the massive sustain nerfs they imposed in Morrowind. We used to have ability cost reduction CP. As you can imagine, they helped immensely with sustain. However, for some reason, they thought sustain was too easy, so they took away our cost reduction CP. You can also imagine that this move was wildly unpopular. It made the game tedious for no good reason; widened the gap between the floor and ceiling; etc. (many of the same complaints we're seeing right now). The community also responded by having a mass exodus much like we're having right now.

ZOS eventually realized the error of their ways and slowly gave us back the level of sustain that approximates what we were accustomed to before the Morrowind expansion. However, they didn't do it by simply reverting the changes to the CP system. Directly fixing their mistake would be an indirect admission of guilt. Instead, they gave us more sustain tools in a piece-meal fashion. For example, they increased the sustain passives for light and med armor; gave us better regen foods; and, in the CP 2.0 system, gave us a regen star in the red constellation.

TL; DR: OP is right. If ZOS ever undoes these nerfs, it'll be via a circuitous path (because that's what they've done historically).

    Edited for typos.

I feel this update was completely unnecessary and the time and effort should have been spent on the plethora of other things the player base (those paying your bills) have been asking about for years now. A good example that I see on just about every wish list in the forums are master crafting stations for craftable sets. It's getting to the point now that if you do not have an ESO+ sub you will need 2 houses to hold all those stations and perhaps this is what they were aiming for in that regard. Who knows anymore. I know our guild has become very inactive since this update and it really shows just how everyone feels about it. It has an SWG feel to it. :(

To be fair...the NGE effected the entire game.... U35 effects High end raiders the most, I am going by sentiments of current streamers and the current guilds I play and hang out with, which is a considerable amount of people.

And Raiding especially at the very high end is a fairly small demographic. But I can understand why some in that group feel like the world is coming to a end...I just don't think this is a forever thing, in fact I think this is just part one, part deaux will more than likely be a tuning down of content.

Then folks will probably be complaining that high end raids are too easy.
