I definitely agree with having more variety in The Golden, both in terms of monster sets and in golden jewellery.
But if I may ask, without trying to derail the topic, why is it you don't like doing dungeons? Is it trying to find a group who can do it? Do it without wiping for hours? Do it fast/slow/paced? Dungeon design? Lore? Mechanics? Something else?
I have no issues finding folks to do them, and if I asked, I am sure my guilds trial progression group members would be more than willing to run any of them with me. They make DLC Vet HM look like FG normal they blow through them so easily.
I would say it is the design of them mostly. I come from a different era I guess, where dungeons were huge and an all day affair to reach the bottom, many side paths, many bosses who all could drop unique rare loot in different sections, were a ton of fun to explore and conquer and everyone had to use their full toolbox to make it successful. Not like ESO where you have a simple path starting at point A and leading you to point B, with no chance of a rare drop or anything different or exciting happening along the way. Basically, they just aren't fun and for me, have gotten to the point of being painful to even enter, years ago. Dungeons in ESO aren't an adventure, they are just another grind to get through.
Yes, I realize a new monster set or so gets added extremely rarely (like every other year maybe?), but The Golden really needs to have a lot more in her rotation. For 6 months now I have only found a piece I didn't already own on maybe 2 occasions, and 90% of my monster sets came from The Golden. It would be nice to check her and find something new once in a while, instead of the same few sets rotating in/out week after week. There are plenty of sets I do not have, so at the very least, they have not been on The Golden in the past couple years, but I assume they aren't even in the rotation, while the sets I do own have passed through many times over.
I am not requesting the latest and greatest sets get added immediately upon release of a new DLC, just the ones that have been around forever and still haven't been showing up. Also not requesting more sets be made available at the same time, 2 is fine and more choices of stuff I already own would be fairly pointless anyways.
Example:
Grothdarr has appeared 6 times
Domihaus has appeared 5 times in the past year!
Lord Warden has never appeared, even though Imperial City Prison was introduced ~7 years ago I think?
Also, this can be one of the few decent gold sinks in the game, but if the inventory never changes, it isn't very effective.

I totally get not putting the latest DLC in the golden for a while, but they could definitely work on making the drops of some of the older stuff a little more frequent and consistent.
I am not sure that the golden should contain everything all at once, but I would not be opposed to doubling the weekly loot pool. Maybe 2 helms, 2 shoulders (dont have to match), 4 rings, and 4 necks. Also something to guarantee some sort of rotation would be nice. It doesn't have to be perfectly fixed, but an item should make the rotation at least once a year. If that means they need to add more vendor slots than what I suggested, then it should be done.

I'm curious... why? I thought it fell out of favor and wasn't all that great anymore?

Monster sets behind a paywall or sub could be unlocked through purchase of dlc or ESO plus.
Remove purchase with gold, AP only.
(And please don't tell me about it being a PvP zone and people should be required to do that content to be able to not do the other content...)@Kwoung I'm going to assume 70 keys was a while ago? You can get a 50/50 chance on any monster shoulder at a cost of 5 keys, even if it ends up landing in a different weight. Many dlc dungeons have been nerfed alot. It's not hard to just run it to get the helm. 9 out of 10 pug groups can clear any dungeon these days. Just queue instead of waiting week after week for golden.
You assume I have the slightest interest in running dungeons, which I really don't, I despise dungeons in this game, they aren't fun at all for me. ZOS put a vendor in game to dole out the gear once a week, and I am more than happy to wait for a set I desire to come around. Yet most don't, ever.
Also, you forget the shoulders, which I have had take upwards of 70 keys to get one I need... that's a lot more dungeons I didn't want to be in, in the first place.

Like so many long standing systems in ESO.

I really agree with this...to be clear...I don't need it to take hours to feel meaningful....but if you are a first timer on doing dungeons and people tell you that you are an idiot for not knowing how to bypass content...you don't ever get to explore and feel it. Ever. It is just a speed run...get in and get out. Its a grind for most.
So, if you want to experience them...you can't unless you can solo them. You don't know which ones are so hard you have to do research for doing them and which are breezy.
I hate going into a dungeon and feeling like people will be burdened with my presence because I have never done the dungeon. I can read the walk throughs; but I learn by doing. So, I end up soloing them or trying to solo them so as not to inflict myself on others and cause them more "work" because I am there. And that right there is the problem.......it feels like "WORK" to people and they do not like you making their JOB more difficult.
And having to do a lot of research ahead of time on every dungeon in order to use the daily QUEUE; and potentially try every dungeon solo to get the gist and feel of it??? Also, feels a bit JOB-like.
That does not make for an enjoyable experience.
So I really screwed up and just avoided dungeons....and made the problem worse.....because now I am a 1k CP dungeon idiot......(FYI, I now have a handful of low levels I run through to learn dungeons....without training gear or exp bonuses...so they can proceed slowly through the content).

Careful what you wish for. If they turn their attention to something, there's no guarantee it will be made better!
