The only thing that says “this is companion, not player” is the face. Costume or outfit can be identical to the player they run with, and you need the distinction.

then you'd flip a toggle to hide her helmet, like we do for our own characters, or talk to her. SWTOR let your companions have headgear and you could toggle it to be hidden or not, and even have it be tied to whether they were in conversation or not I think.
Isobel's eyebrows are out of control ugly. I want companions to wear helmets so bad.

Isobel would agree that the helmet is cool and would always ask every time we entered a city if she could take some time to bang out the dents and give it a good polish.

I've told someone in real life that their eyebrows looked messed up and that they need to fix them. They thanked me for being honest, when all of her other friends wouldn't as they were too concerned with her "feelings". These other friends chose instead to gossip about it amongst themselves when they weren't around.
So tell me, who is the ACTUAL nice person in this scenario?
