I think healing will be fine. MagDK the only thing I personally know of is the change in whip to be hybrid, which I was able to deal with by wearing medium armor (which reduces the stamina cost) or using potions that restore stamina. Heavy attack DK is also an option, with or without oakensoul.

Yeah, my ESO life is going to suck after the nuclear nerf. So while I still have time (DPS) I'm looking for suggestions as to what I can do to mitigate U35. I do not weave, I do not rotate, neither do I trial. I leap, prance and sashay with my (allegedly OP) Oakensoul DK thru content (so much fun! for now, sadly to end too soon).
So suggestions? I'm on the console so I have a little less than a month. I'm thinking of doing Dragonstar and Malstrom to get some staves to help? I'm working like mad to level my companion (although that help is somewhat limited).
I will be updating my healer build for the Magplar depending on what ends up being the worst problem (for me) after the patch. It's hard for me to tell now just from reading the patch notes. And I am so depressingly thoroughly average I am not sure that I can tell from what others have said how bad it will be for me...
I'm open to the idea of a new character of a different class, but I really like being a healer...
You are kind of in luck with this patch actually as it stands to help you out a lot. Keep your Oakensoul ring and keep your DK. Equip a resto staff and use Molten Armaments and then fill the rest of your bar with Fighter's Guild skills.
Your rotation is basically to cast Molten Armaments every 20 seconds and then just pick a target and hold left-click on them. That's it! You will very likely see a huge increase in damage output and will get a constant source of healing too!

With Oakensoul there’s no need for molten armaments, they were both changed to grant empower and they also both give major sorcery/brutality.

It's for the minor brutality. Plus the chance to give major and minor to your group if for some reason they don't already have it.

if your running oaken, you wouldnt have enough bar space for a skill that gives 1 minor buff that doesnt stack with everything else oaken is giving you
in a non oaken build, 100% for sure

...I forgot about passives. Could still use anything else from the skill line for that though and minor brutality only gives weapon damage. I guess you could go weapon damage on a magdk but at that point why not just go stamdk haha.

Then start learn "stuff" - weaving, rotations, just try to get good, get a feeling for the flow of combat, try to make it feel natural. If you manage to achieve this, you'll have a really good time no matter what patches are going to bring. Not saying you will be happy with everything the game will be bringing on. Just saying: you will be able to enjoy pretty much everything except some hardmodes or vet challenges.
Anyway, might not be what you want to hear, but sometimes diving deep into what is the meta, learning all the necessary stuff, will make more complex games more enjoyable. And ESO is pretty complex in regards to it's combat system compared to a lot of other games.
So
-5% of 100k = 95k or 5k damage loss
-5% of 25k = 23.75k or 1.25k damage loss
The less damage you do the less you will notice the changes. It’s already taking you a very long time to kill stuff you won’t notice the extra time it takes you.

Literally what else are you gonna run? You have an entire bar of skills you don't need to use. The rest are just there for passives. If you need some extra security then replace one with vigor or regen. The idea here is how to help a person with limited dexterity run a build capable of dealing enough damage for most, if not all, content. All that is needed is a resto staff and empower, everything after that is just style points.
