Loving the new levels of feedback from ZoS

We got, what? One day of feedback during the PTS cycle, then nothing.... AGAIN.

No explanation as to why the feedback we were giving was ignored, or why they insisted pushing ahead with a patch that was massively disliked.

Why Boss Health was reduced 10% when the dps loss was much higher than that. No explanation as to why this did not include arenas.

Why the obvious dislike of disabled and older players who struggle with bar swapping, due to the nerf of the one thing helping them significantly. Is that the message ZOS wants to give, 'We don't support disabled or older people'.

How accessibility was improved when we now have more dot timers than ever and healing per second is reduced.

Back to the same brick wall....

We are obviously back in the land of do as you please(points if you get the reference).

They did make 2 posts as an answer to some of the feedback, but its obvious they want to do their thing anyway.
I think the backlash this patch will probably push thr team to communicate less once again.

This is probably going to run counter to the general sentiment, but I do actually appreciate how the community managers have managed this PTS in comparison to past contentious nerf-heavy patches.

Unlike past patches, we've known the gist of PTS changes week to week before Monday morning. We've known ahead of time what to expect to get changed and what wasn't being changed each week. And while that allows players to focus their displeasure more acutely, it also helps players focus their substantive feedback on the areas the Devs are and aren't making changes.

For a clear example, we know from Gina's pre-patch update that the Vet boss/bannermen health reduction should be roughly 10% HP. Under the old method of waiting til Monday morning, we wouldn't know that from the patch notes and players would be scrambling to find out what the HP reduction was rather than just confirming that it was roughly 10% and on what bosses.

The biggest difference I've noticed this PTS cycle is fewer "ZOS said nothing, we're doomed" posts and more "ZOS said something, we're doomed" posts.

Now that may seem like a silly thing, but the latter makes for more substantive feedback and critique than the former.

I guess. There are just so many unanswered questions, especially why they would go against the massive amount of dislike in this patch and consider a different route that doesn't push a MA meta and give us a 3 to 32 second range on dot/abilities.

Even with the health nerf, this patch will make vRG HM, vDSR HM more difficult and I am curious how people will do with Navi portal on HM.

Unchained will be harder too, with the same boss health, but significantly less dps.

I am just highly disappointed in the fact it appears they just don't care.

I actually think this has worked against them, at least it has for me.

When I hear things like "expect only minor tweaks and minimal balance updates in the remaining patches" I don't expect to read drastic changes to the base combat system.

When I read things like "we'll be making major changes to magicka warden, nightblade, and sorcerer in the final PTS patch" I expected those to be major changes.

In their defense, the shalk change to warden was pretty major, regardless about how vehemently against the change I am. They were correct in this sense, wardens who use Deep Fissure have had their entire gameplay destroyed and will need to relearn their class. I'd argue that no MagSorcs who read that update from Gina left satisfied after reading the resulting patch notes. It's very confusing to have these words elicit such counter-intuitive results.

Minor tweaks = drastic changes to LA/HA as well as DoT timers for all skills, abilities, and timers
Major changes = the skill changes we got in Week 4 and 5 for warden, nightblade, and sorcerer

I do appreciate them saying ANYTHING, but I won't extend that commendation to them for using verbiage that just simply turned out to be false.

I also fear the previewed comments.

Went into 8.1.3 with some slight hopes for improving Warden based upon forum feedback but the reality of the notes was worse than I could ever have imagined.

From a Warden perspective, the opening 8.1.0 notes were as good as it was going to get - and it was still a nerf to the class.

What happened to the Q&A that was mentioned? Did they just bail on that in light of the overwhelming negative response to U35?

    Is there a point to a Q&A?

We already have the 'A' in the shape of the latest PTS patch.

As @Aldoss pointed out in his post we cannot really put any stock in their words anyway, is only their actions that matter.
