What’s in the Bird Box? housing contest

Inspired by the bird houses scattered around High Isle, HomeBodies invites you to ..ahem.. spread your creative wings and show us your idea of What’s in the Bird Box!

What
To celebrate the birth of our weird and wonderful Guild, we are hosting a housing contest.

Who
Both Homies (HomeBodies guild members) and non-members on PC/NA and PC/EU are invited to enter.

Where
Create your entry in any 30 slot Inn Room that you own. Set visitor permissions to public access (limited visitor or visitor) by entry deadline.

How
Send an in-game mail to @perfectlyhumble on PC/NA or PC/EU with the following information:

Heading: Bird Box Contest
User (in-game) name
Entry location (which inn room)

@perfectlyhumble will respond to you with an in-game mail letting you know that your entry has been received.

When
Entries close on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at 10pm EST.

The top entries will be toured and announced live at twitch.tv/theperfectlyhumble starting at 3pm on Thursday, August 11.

Prizes
Updated prize pool as of 7/22

Due to the generosity of our HomeBodies members, the prize pool has increased:
1st place: 5 million gold 2.5 million gold
2nd place: 2.5 million gold 1.5 million gold
3rd place: 1.5 million gold 1 million gold

Hi. Looks like a fun contest. I have two questions -

1. Yea or nay. Is EHT allowed?

2. Would you consider posting a pic of what you are looking for in this thread? I don't visit discords, and what I have in mind for inside the box does not necessarily include "birds". Roasted maybe.

Yea.

Assuming you're referring to using EHT special fx - but be aware that not all judges have/use EHT.

Honestly, there isn't anything in particular that we've our hearts set on. Be wild! Be demure! Be purple! It's all good.

We have 4 inn rooms decorated by guild members with their version of what they think is in the Bird Box. You're welcome to visit them in-person to see what our imaginations created:

Well thanks for the quick answer!

Since I no longer subscribe to plus (guess why) I only have 15 to work with (and half the special junk) so I will need some EHT FX, including actions. We will just roll the dice on that one. Expect wild...or very confusing.

I can send a one or two sentence background in the email. I may have a "dry" sense of humor? Or is it gallows humor? Both are good!

Hi. It is do-able. I get peeved at ZOS periodically so have some experience (altho' not like what this Update 35 has done to me. Well... even more off topic).

You need to economize and compromise, and I think having EHT helps me with that. I'm fine with my 350 slot Doomchar plot for instance, but wouldn't be able to do my Hunters Glade without 700, so it depends on circumstances too.

WOW! 46 entries for our "Whats in the Bird Box?"

I'm in awe of the talent that exists in this community, and grateful to each of you for supporting HomeBodies through your participation in our first contest. These thoughtful creations covered the spectrum from beautiful, charming, and whimsical to moody & brooding, and emotionally moving.

As a thank you to all of our participants, those not in the Top 3 will receive a gift as a personal "thank you" from me. The quality of submissions is just ridiculous - and there may just be a Special Prize or two awarded as well.

Top 10 finalists will be listed here and on our Discord before I tour them LIVE on stream this Thursday, Aug 11 @ 3pm https://www.twitch.tv/theperfectlyhumble. Any additional prizes will also be shared during the stream.

Our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be posted on the HomeBodies Discord after they are announced Thursday.
