Consuming Darkness needs a rework not Dark Cloak

Both morphs of Consuming Darkness are vastly outperformed by their counterparts,

Veil of Blades has pathetic damage over time you are losing damage by casting this ultimate instead of using anything else on your skill bar. This ability should be changed in a similar way to Standard of Might when you stand in your ultimate you should get extra crit damage or extra crit change, simply you should get a damage buff to make this ultimate unique so nightblades have another option for cleave damage rather than destruction ultimate.

Bolstering Darkness this skill used to be broken with 60% damage reduction then it was balanced in a really good way to provide 30% reduction however in its current situation it only provides 10% damage reduction and you can get the exact same buff as a passive by slotting revealing flare. This ability changed from being the most broken defensive skill in group content to being the most useless skill in any content out there both pve and pvp. Bolstering Darkness should provide major protection as a passive just like revealing flare in addition to some rework to its defensive utility in my opinion.

I am talking from nightblade tank perpective, nb tanks have amazing survivability and they are amazing if you don't want to put much pressure on your healer, great sustain, great healing over time skills, over all amazing class to survive by your own but nb tanks lack serious damage buff they can provide to their team, right know when you look at esologs or leaderboards every team has a dragonknight and a necromancer tank, because when you are going for that world record nb tank doesn't provide anything.
Can you guys please change bolstering darkness so we can provide a unique damage buff to our team.

Sorry we can't buff consuming darkness because according to ZoS:
Nightblade is only a gank or tank class and nothing more!

As long as PvP balancing is not separate from PvE, Nightblade will continue to struggle in some aspects. Due to stealth, Nightblade is the most unique class in the game by far. However! And though I do agree that this ultimate could use some changes, just slapping a passive 10% damage reduction on it might actually something that already affects PvP. Having this reduction on your backbar is pretty valuable.

My main issue with this skill is the tiny area and the NB not being able to use the synergy by itself.

In regards to highest end meta: It will always be only 2 tanks. If you buff Nightblade so much that they replace Necro - exactly this will happen - you replace Necromancer and the best teams in the world will now only run DK & NB. If it is 4 classes that are not "good" enough for this kind of content, this ain't not just a Nightblade kind of issue - and maybe not even an issue at all. Reason being: Those groups want to get "everything" out of their composition that is possible, if they can get even a single digit dps increase, they will go for it. And as long as we can get trifecta more then just 2 possible tanks, stuff is fine. And as I do see it - as of current patch, not pts! - Nightblade tank will not hinder your team when you go for raid trifecta stuff.

Why do we have to kill one class to make other viable, if each class has a unique buff they will each shine in a different content. If both necromancer and nightblade have good unique buffs groups can play around these buff and pick between these classes. Suddenly you will have multiple choices to go for a score push.

You're far from alone in that, sadly. This has easily got to be the worst class ultimate in the game.

If only zos spent time on skills no one uses rather than constantly breaking what does work.

Nobody I know uses this ultimate and I haven't seen this ultimate used in years. I also don't use this ultimate myself. Its weak, clunky, and too expensive.

I can only see healer use this ult for 2 reason

    -Healer is near DD anyway

-During 20s anyone that need the heal can go in and use the synergy to fully heal and drop agro, the speed allowing to go back to their positions

Effectively giving everyone for 20s an on demand 20k heal + agro drop

Nah... It's almost as good as Corrosive Armor, well at least it cost is the same :P

    NB Ults are awesome!

One is totally useless. Two have cast times. So much choice and options!
    /S

In general, cast times on ults should go.

When it goes to Consuming Darkness it is by far the worst ultimate in the game. It calls for help like no other skill does.
    Say no to Toxic Casuals!
I am doing my best, but I am not a native speaker, sorry.
