So I joined a party that had never done a dungeon in ESO before. And before we'd gotten to the second boss, I was booted from the server for reaching the "message limit". The only chat I had done was in party, and it was things like explaining the boss fight, doing a ready check, and getting people to travel to player before we started, etc. All in all much less chatting than I would do if I were having an actual conversation with people. Just putting this out there so it's known (also submitted a bug, but I know they're swamped with those messages right now.)

Winnower✭✭✭✭I also just got booted for reaching the "message limit" and I wasn't talking, I was moving, fighting, and hitting "e" to activate things - the lag is such that I'm not even sure what is happening and what is not, after 1-2 seconds of something not responding I hit the same things again to see if I messed up somehow; instead I get booted.

Brakkar✭✭✭That is weird and I suppose it happens when server is lagging a lot.
I was in few groups with rookie players in vr dungeons and typed a lot, but had no problems with the issue you are describing.
I suppose this happens because of lag i.e. you type 3 msg's and they all appear in chat in quick succession so system recognizes that as spamming.0 -

Log back in and....... kicked out again due to reaching a message limit. Anyone know the cause of this? (beyond crappy code?)Carry the big stick and remember to use it.0 -

Lag or anti-bot code (or both).

Bangstin✭✭✭The error has nothing to do with you typing anything in chat etc.
It means your client is sending too many "messages" to the server for whatever reason.
