Perhaps some non-PVP ways for non-PVPers to get some tickets :)

I do not PVP in this game unless I have to. From time to time I will do a few matches to get some crystals and that is it. SO we should not be forced into PVP events to earn tickets. To top it off there are huge queues to get into Cyrodiil or IC :( So now this non-PVPer has to PVP and wait hours to do so. :(

Sorry but you’re never going to win this argument.

I used to abhor pvp and was pve only until about a year ago when I made the jump. Now I pvp only. And you know what? It’s fun!

Queue up for one of the temp campaigns (queues tend to be very short, especially the no-cp camps) and go do a town pve quest. I was in doing some for boxes yesterday and there were a ton of pve folks doing them who left each other alone. Yeah, I ran into a pvp griefer but he was squishy so… :)

The fact that you’re asking for a pve solution to the one event a year for the pvp crowd is sad. How many pve events are there? Sheesh.

Why do people always ignore the low level campaigns for event tickets? Next to no one is there, and if they are they're just there to get emp like I was doing with my friends last night (got two of my friends emp yesterday, I'll be getting it today, and maybe my girlfriend will get it today :3)

As a pvper, I find overland pve events mind numbingly boring and utterly soul sucking. I don't think it is fair I should be forced to run ridiculous find 3 berries quests just to recieve event tickets. Please can we have a way to recieve tickets without having to take part in said overland tedium?

Nothing hinders you from doing this though, do you have to wait in long queues to get tickets during normal events? Do you get chased around and mobbed by other players who are there only to grief you while trying to do normal events for tickets? I get it's not all the time, but for those who do not PVP which is not a base/required part of the game to do any kind of PVE one should not be forced to earn tickets in this way. Are the PVPers so hard up for others to fight you will settle for slaughtering those who have no interest in PVP, but would still like those pesky tickets? If someone want to try it out they will, no reason to force an event on it and then make it forced for tickets which they know most want.

But there aren't long queues as they have opened up more servers, like every single year. Those new servers are really low pop and don't attract pvp groups who are looking forward to pvping not running around in empty space. It's been that way for a looooooong time. It is pretty easy to farm the boxes by going to a town closest to your gate, in a dead server and do pve quests. I've done that for several years when I'm looking for downtown from pvp. Sadly, the reward boxes can be earned quickest through PVE activities in a pvp map.

Your argument, "we are forced to do this", is the same he is pointing out. In fact, the last activity was pve focused and you didn't see the pvp community flocking to the forums to complain.

Do IC daily quests on a few toons prior to the event, don't turn in. Turn one in each day of the event in IC, get ticket and boxes.

Go to a town with a daily quest giver in Cyro, do quest, hand in and get tickets and boxes.

    No pvp involved.

The only place I've ever been killed is in IC, because people are forced together in close quarters, and pvpers gunna pvp. If you don't like pvp, I don't recommend going into IC to quest at this time. ;)

Nobody is forcing you to get the tickets, don't like it don't do it. There's plenty of other events for people who dislike PvP. I'll fight whoever is in front of me in PvP anyone is fair game.

That is a false argument since so many things are time limited, especially if you don't have Indriks on your current platform now. Skipping an event is not an option if you want the things tickets buy, which are not (generally) tied to PvP.

bruh they will appear in other events lol. If you want them now better start PvPing for those tickets, it shouldn't be any other way.

You can just pick up the score 1000 points BG quest and do a single BG for your tickets.

I do believe this is the first time I've heard someone who does Battlegrounds for crystal awards begging for a way to avoid doing PVP for event tickets.

A.) You know that you can get the 2 tickets from either Cyrodiil or Battlegrounds dailies, right? Most non-PVPers find Cyrodiil easier in a less populated campaign, but if you've already done BGs before for crystals that's probably not an issue.

B.) You've already done Battlegrounds, which are usually far more intense PVP gameplay than much of the time in Cyrodiil and Imperial City. It's probably prepared you pretty well for the no-CP campaigns.

Otherwise, this is pretty standard "why do I have to do content I don't enjoy to get the rewards I want" that we hear in any event that involves something more difficult than a standard overland daily.

Nothing actually hinders you from doing the PvE content in Cyrodiil though. You just have to actually apply yourself.

There is no strictly pve content in Cyrodiil or Imp City, it is all open pvpve. If you think a seasoned pvper is not going to prevent a pveer from getting tickets, you're living in a fantasy world.

I go in and get my tickets from the same repeatable quest giver every event. I have had almost no PvP experiences at this quest giver in the 5 years Mid Year/Whitestrake has been a thing (every single PvP encounter I have had at this quest giver was not initiated by a ganker or griefer). I do it on highly populated servers and Im in and out within 10 minutes. I dont time anything, I dont aim for low times for server pop. I just go in and get the tickets. Im sure there are occasions where PvPers decide to grief players in these areas. But if it was such an actual problem that it was prevalent and preventing players from actually doing what they want. I think I would have encountered it by now. And it would also have crossed into the realm of griefing which is a breach of TOS and thus reportable.

And yes, we all are living in a fantasy world. Its called ESO.

isn't the whole point of this event to encourage people to pvp

also nobody is "forcing" you to do anything. if you don't wanna pvp then don't pvp

the world will continue to exist if you miss out on a few event tickets, stop being so dramatic

There are ways to survive in Cyrodil while questing, or at least avoid as much notice as possible. Dress your character in a dark costume with no bright colors, use a plain mount with no flashy effects and make sure your mount speed and stamina is leveled us much as possible. Make sure to give a wide berth to keeps and resources, avoiding the usual byways between them; ride low in the dips and valleys and avoid hilltops and choke points whenever possible. Bring either a NB with cloak, or stealth pots, use all available speed boost and anti-snare gear/skills, and have lots of HP/resistances. Race against Time, unstoppable potions, and the Snow Treaders mythic are great tools in there.

    Good luck!

It’s like the cat that’s saying it hasn’t been fed, even though it was fed not long ago.
PVE : we want a non pvp oriented event because we shouldn’t have to do it.
Everyone else: you’ve had lots of PVE events.
PVE: but not thiiiiiis one! This one’s got to be changed to suit PVE.

Seriously guys. Stop it. I have two cats at home, I hear the meows.
I’m also a PVE player, and I’m siding with the PVP guys on this. We get plenty of events that DONT require pvp, on easily accessible zones (mostly).

It won’t stop the post whines from coming in though, it’s like banging your head on a brick wall. It’s happening but it ain’t moving, just a headache.

Good news: you don't have to PvP to get tickets. Hooray! You have exactly what you wanted with no effort from anyone else! :)

There's also plenty of campaigns with zero queue time to get into where you most likely won't even see another player so you don't even have to worry about PvP happening near you.

The only reason to force PvE players into PvP zones is to give PvPers that aren't getting what they want otherwise more targets to gank.

I have to say, I've been PvPing all day and I haven't ganked anyone, and most of the people I've killed all day haven't been gankers either*. Its such a boring misconception about PvP, unless you're using "gank" to mean "killed in any way, shape or form by another player" in which case that's not ganking.

And I genuinely don't know anyone who PvPs who is like "gosh, I wish the queues were all jammed up with PvE people so it takes me 2 hours** to get into the main campaign, because there's really not enough actual enjoyable fights to have with real PvP players***, I just have to go away from the keeps, rss and outposts where the fights are actually happening to find PvErs to kill", mostly because no one ever says that.

*Look, okay look, there was this one who killed me while I was on the flag 3 times and I eventually got them and it was VERY satisfying, but also like... I was PvPing in an area where you would expect PvP and they were also PvPing in an area where you would expect PvP because that's where PvP happens and they definitely weren't off looking for PvErs at quest objectives/turn ins, so you're welcome for me keeping this ganker distracted with some actual PvP. ;)

    **I wish I was kidding :(

***A massive lie, I was in there the better part of 8 hours having some REALLY excellent combat at PvP objectives (shout out to AD for the big defences of Lessy and Drake on PS-NA earlier today) and I never once thought "You know, I better go find some PvErs to ruin the day of" because I just don't care about PvErs doing their dailies for tickets.

There are hundreds if not thousands of posts on these forums explaining how best to do MYM for IC and Cyro tickets for those who hate PvP absolutely pain free and every single time we're still deluged in people complaining about our one PvP event, it genuinely makes me sad.

It's SO easy to do the quests in IC without running into anyone! You don't even have to pre-prepare! There's some practically empty campaigns, but everyone just picks the first one with the biggest population for IC and Cyro and then complain when they run into another human being (or the queue is long).
