Feed the Gankers Event is Live!

Can we please get a way to get the daily tickets without being gank feed?

Nothing is done about PvP, but we have this event to feed the PvP players in an attempt to make them happy.

They have the event twice a year because its popular.

I find it hard to believe you cant knock out a scouting mission or a town quest.

Wait, you might mean IC, I get that could be difficult. But Cyrodiil? It's not hard to knock out one of the two I mentioned without bumping into another playing, it's just really boring.

Should have done them all last week (I did), ready to turn in now for the event if you wanted to avoid ganking.

OR, if you detest the event enough, you could say screw the tickets and skip the whole darn thing...which is what I did last year. 😅

Not an option if you want the tickets for those rewards.

It is silly to parrot that claim.

Let us get the tickets, but not the other event rewards!

And it is popular because so many can be gankers. The gankees don't speak up much, though I do wonder how much dissatisfaction it will add, especially with the coming combat changes.

It is silly to parrot the same thread with the same complaint every single time a PvP event pops up. If you want the reward, play the content. This is a PvP event, live with it. I never hear PvP players complaining about PvE events.
There are plenty of ways to more or less avoid PvP during the events and still get the tickets. You can do the Arena daily in IC, you can do scouting missions in Cyro. Even if you die once or twice, what do you lose? A couple of TelVar stones. It's not that big of a deal really.

    From google:
    reward
    /rɪˈwɔːd/
    noun
a thing given in recognition of service, effort, or achievement.

There is a way to get tickets without getting ganked. Do the quests before the event, turn them in 1 by 1 every day for tickets.

If you don't wanna do that, well... We knew for a while the event was coming. This isn't the gankers fault.

You can get tickets without engaging in any form of PvP, you just feel entitled to complain at one of the few pvp events.

There are miriads of guides out there if you choose to participate for some reason (read: rewards).

I can? How does that work in IC?

I also didn't know I lost my right to not like something in the game at some point....

Arena quest you can do not going down from the ledge at all, 15 mins at the very maximum shooting LA's or target AOE's.

It's not about dislike as you would just skip event entirely, it's about feeling that you own the reward already it seems by right of purchasing the game.

I did not get ganked at all during the last PvP event, gained tickets every day via Cyrodiil, and did the same on the first day of this event.

So this is clearly not a gankers fest for anyone who follows the sage advice that fills the forums during these events.

To repeat, go into one of the added campaigns with a low population. Preferably one where your alliance has a couple of bars, and the other two have only one to ensure keeps near your home base are friendly. It makes it easier to get around. Go to the quest area closest to your home bases, do a quest and turn it in. You can do another quest to have it ready to turn in the next day. It does help to be a little cautious around the quest giver area just in case, but again, I did have not seen any threats.

Granted, this does not eliminate the chance of dealing with PvP but makes the chances fairly close to zero. I left IC alone as that is just one ticket, but I did see guides for getting tickets in IC during the last mayhem event. Good luck, and go get those tickets.

Edit: Right as I was posting this @colossalvoids was nice enough to post the suggestion for IC.

You often can, and it is the one thing easier on AD, but it is also a time suck and a LOT of standing around doing nothing, with the risk of someone popping their necro ultimate and killing you on the platform. You missed that part.

The game shouldn't require you to stand around and do nothing....

Far more than most here have done the quest at all most likely. It is very tedious and boring though and I only do it when I have something else to do while waiting.

Why must the event tickets be tied to a high risk of getting ganked?

You can always pass on the single ticket IC provides.

But to answer your question, this is a rare PvP event.

Death in pvp locations in not permanent.

IC event was my event ever in all of ESO, not MYM, but specifically IC with double TV and quest coffers, WAY more people there. I was ~CP170-180 in all blue rattlecage jewelry and shock/resto staff, default whatever traits as I had no access to transmutation. Training julianos on body crafted by guildie, maw monster set. I did all 6 quests each day.

If you have an ep character you can do the Arena district daily with leaving the safety of the spawn point.

If you have a Nightblade you can easily do the Elven Gardens daily without getting in any combat on any faction . I've done it 200+ times.

But hey, I get the frustration.

Don't know if it's due to the event or just current meta, but the number of Nightblades is truly off the charts.

Besides IC which has always been Ganker City, I was waiting for my group in front of Aleswell yesterday only to be swarmed by no less than 4 Nightblades coming out of stealth. There are so many they are stealing each others kills.

And my 40k HP are completely useless against 10k Surprise Attacks, especially when CC break doesn't work. It's really a ridiculous situation.

Rare? This is the only event that takes place twice a year.

At least in one year, we had to do the IC stuff even three times because there was the year one event which included the Imperial City.

You are so right that there are only two while we have numerous PvE events throughout the year. That shows that the PvP events are extremely rare in comparison.

    Thanks

It's a bit of both. Stam and mag blade are crazy strong rn. And the Oakensoul ring has made things super bursty.

I'm playing a sniper because it's so hard to beat their burst and the performance is so bad it's better to try and sniper from afar. If it doesn't go off at least I'm still in stealth 30 yards from my target.

It's not going to help much but theres a CP slottable in the top left of the red tree to automatically break free when stunned. I run it on most toons.

They could change the system and give us the 3 event tickets by completing any 2 PvP regarding activities, no matter if 2 quests from Cyrodiil,IC or Battlegrounds.
I know PvP players who enjoy Battlegrounds and would love to be able to collect their tickets with doing the daily BG quests on different toons instead of being forced to go into IC.
I skipped IC for the last 2 events, I do not need that many tickets and I have no time nor nerves to do the arena quest in IC or run around with a group just to complete a daily.

PVP event? :) Nah not for me, I complete a scouting mission in Cyrodiil and call it a day.

    1) pick a server on Cyro where your faction is dominant
    2) if power shifts, change your character
    3) if power shifts again, change to the character of the respective alliance

    Problem solved.

And I myself an a PvE player.

You know all you lose for dying is Telvar right? That's all. You are not locked out of the game for a set time, you don't lose levels or experience, heck you don't even lose gold. Take the deaths, sure it might hurt your pride or ego.

I am a PVER myself but I manage to suck it up for these events. Sure I DO run through 2 chars a few days before the event starts in Imperial City doing those 6 quests each and save them to cash in 1 each day. That really, is the least you could do.

Even doing that, I still run around in Imperial city killing the bosses during the event to "try" and farm the 2 new styles (I say new because I didn't bother trying for the one that came at the start of the year). So doing the Imperial City Quests before the event starts helps to save me time to do this part.

I mean really besides a bruised ego what have you got to lose? Time? Meh, if you gain SOMETHING from it I doubt it. Is it really important to be doing other things in the game instead? I know I still have a ton of other things I should be doing instead too but they can wait, you have ALWAYS (well until the game does officially die) to do those. Who knows you may even have FUN, you might be surprised, I do at times.

Also, OP, since you were complaining about how hard it was to shoot down from the AD platforms in the Arena District, I assumed you knew about the cheesy method to mostly avoid PVP and still do the IC daily in that District.

As long as players are killing the nearby enemies and freeing NPCs, you can still get credit for the daily even if you sit in the completely safe silenced area by the trapdoor. You might find that more to your taste than shooting down at enemies who you think can't hit you only to find out they can.

It's cheesy, but ZOS knows about it, has never said its unintended, and certainly hasn't fixed it.

But anyways, I'll leave you to your tri-annual complaint thread about having to play ALL the content if you want ALL the rewards now.

Real shame, I mean I know more PvP'ers who enjoy Cyro and Battelgrounds rather then IC, as it is suppose to be an event where Pvp people should have fun and earn rewards doing what they like, they should let everyone choose what activity suits them best for earning their tickets.
IC never was, isn't and never will be popular no matter how often they ''force'' people to go there, so I really don't understand why they don't leave it be and let people decide where they want to earn their tickets.
