How will Update 35 affect the time you spend on the game?

Can't really vote since I'm already sort of on and off already. Only really logging in because of my subscription, and on rare occasions sticking around longer if a friend needs help or wants to spar in a PvP duel.

It's already impacting me. I used to spend 4 to 5 hours daily in game on weekdays and 8 to 10 on weekends. 40 to 50 hours weekly. IRL caught up last month and I went down to a few hours. With this? Well I'm down doing less than 20 a week. With these changes.

Probably just do overland questing really.

More importantly for ZOS. I don't have an incentive to purchase crowns.

We’ll see. I will give it a try, but my subscription may not be renewed.

These updates are not promising and not asked for or wanted.

Showing parse videos really doesn’t do anything for me. Using dummy humpers as a representative sample of the community is just not wise.

Basically they say, “here! Dummy *** Yolo420 only parsed 30% lower. Great changes!”

    Um. No.

Gonna give MYM a hard push next week, we will see after that.

I am heading into 3Q and Whitestrake with 12 Event Tickets and nothing to spend them on. I saw the Power Ranger outfit and decided maybe it is time to get off this year's Event Ticket grind for a couple months. The next two after that are Undaunted and the High Isle one. Then I assume we find out what 4Q holds for Event Tickets as we head into Witches Festival.

Edit: actually, I should have taken 2Q off, as well, due to the mount being less than interesting. Silly me.

I think the Dufort outfit isnt bad looking. Kind of wondering how they screwed up the Quarterly reward so bad but the event reward is somehow superior..

I am currently on a break from the game. I do this frequently, so nothing odd there. However, as a who focuses on solo pve and a little pvp, this update could really screw up my playstyle. I don't do vet content outside arenas because I cannot maintain a high dps rotation, so I settle instead on solo builds so I can do the arenas and also complete dungeons solo for story.
My dps is already struggling to keep up, due to running a solo build and being bad at rotations. This patch will cut down my dps even further and likely make it impossible for me to play the game as I have been. As such, I shall simply stop playing. I have unsubbed for now, whilst I await the final updates to the pts.

I really wish they would stop with these huge changes and focus on minor adjustments. Or even leave stuff alone a while and say "this is it now. This is the combat balanced." Then, maybe they could focus on other stuff?
Struggling to find a new class to call home. Please send help.

I'm an Elder Scrolls player, first and foremost. I've subjected myself to- and mastered- meta so that I can experience content and get the good rewards, but I don't give a rat's behind about it in the grand scheme of things. I don't find it innately enjoyable, and the "skill" aspect of it feels artificial, unintuitive and unsatisfying. I've come to believe, from my involvement in various communities around Elder Scrolls outside of ESO that this is a common perception, and for every one of me that persisted, there is a bunch of people that could have loved the game, but were disengaged because of the combat.

Since 2014 I've seen the dialogue around the game, as well as the meta- form, evolve and dominate, to the point where it, exclusively, seems to drive the direction of game development.

Numbers flag over time. The Covid "boom" is ending. People naturally move on. But Elder Scrolls 6 is on the horizon, and promises a new wave of interest. If the changes loosen the stranglehold, broaden the creative development space, and appeal to more Elder Scrolls people otherwise like me, but that were disillusioned with a meta that is so divorced from being in the world and in the mythology, it could be a very good thing, imv. So I guess that if ZOS were acting from this point of view, and I believe they are, and were to cave to a vocal minority, it would be evidence to me that they are hostage against things that need to happen. I can't say it would make me spend less time in ESO, but it would increase the feeling of disenfranchisement.

Even in Update 34, I log in, do easy endeavors, check enlightening exp, do rando if it's full, and log out. Not even doing writs for my quest log and inventory are full - and I don't want to bother myself by managing them.

Many of the people I play with have already quit or will quit.

I largely enjoy the social aspect of the game, a lot of people have moved to Lost Ark, I'll probably join them.
I won't leave entirely-- but I'll be playing a lot less, and I doubt I'll still have my sub in 6-12 months.

I know a few people who are going to Black Desert online for a while...they're quit angry about the light attack nerfs.

The clear headed sensible approach is to wait and see how everything pans out once it is live. And that's what I'll be doing.

Funnily enough some of the worst ill-thought out update changes in the past have been beneficial to my own particular builds and playstyle.

But more often than not, it's been the follow up cancel culture approach to their own arbitary changes that's been beyond befief horrendous.

I have allway´s been able to handle, what ZOS throwe at me and that will not change this time eighter.

Now I just do my writs logg out, change account and play another mmo.

I have only one problem with this mmo and that´s the fake roles. I see how it´s hurting the community. As soon my craftig bag are near empty and no solution found I will redraw my sub after six year´s as a costumer.

Not really because of the patch but I find I already spend a lot less time then I used to in game, mainly due to character progression being almost nonexistent these days (I don't do HM Vet raiding). High Isle was a pretty big disappointment for me but I gave it a try anyways. In regards to U35, looks like it sucks, but we'll see.

Almost none now I have two other games to play. I have already liquidated EU char and down to three on NA. Am keeping two of them for MYM and then they go. Will keep main in hopes that before my sub runs out things get better, but as of now my Templar will soon become unplayable.

Then I will be down to the 4 minutes it takes for writs.

Sub is cancelled, but is a yearly with several months left. I'm in the daily reward/endeavor boat. Should have plenty of seals to hopefully grab a nice mount I may have missed during Halloween season, but that may be the last thing I do. Don't do writs or pledges anymore.

I also very much agree with the people who generally say that it's not the fact that changes are being done, even though these don't look very good, but that it's the frequency of the changes.

I haven't cancelled my sub yet but it's already been over a week since I logged in and I've barely missed a day in over five years. It's not just about the specific changes themselves, although it definitely is about that too (especially as a magplar main whose class spammable now looks, feels, and hits so much worse), but the sheer size and extremity of the overhaul after so many significant overhauls has me feeling burned out and unenthusiastic.

The Elder Scrolls universe is my favourite fictional place and ESO has long been my home away from home, but this just feels like the last straw. Nerfing things by 30 and 40% every 6 months makes me feel like there is no solid plan for the game. There's no finetuning, it's huge swings first in one direction and then another. It doesn't make me feel like they're keeping it fresh, it makes me feel like someone doesn't know what they're doing.

I am a mid tier player. Not mid tier progging Godslayer, mid tier completing vDLCs, some vDLC hardmodes, and easier vet trials. Mid mid. These changes don't make my combat feel better. They don't make me hit harder. They don't make any content more accessible to me. They do the opposite of all those things. So despite this patch allegedly being done in order to benefit me, I'm only suffering as a result.

I'll do exactly however many days of whatever events I need to to be able to finish the Pure-Snow Indrik, because I wanted to complete that for years, but other than that I'm taking a break. I may or may not come back in Q4 to see how the High Isle storyline wraps up.
PC NA, CP2500+. Character creation is the true endgame.

Pretty much all I do is vet/hard mode trials and have started progging trifectas. Hard modes and trifectas might be out of the question now, so my progs need to finish before the update. Whether I keep playing depends on how my guild and friends react to the update. If my best dps leave the game, it's pretty much over for me.

This is where I am and I'm scared af. that endgame won't recover and/or only the .01 percent will still have viable groups.

I have not canceled my sub yet. I'll at least wait and see how it goes but as of now on pts these changes are horrible especially the hard nerfs to to templars wardens and dk's. If they don't go back on these heavy nerfs destroying classes ill be move to another game for a while

Tough talk? I've gone past doing DLC content on normal and with this update I won't have a chance in vet anymore. Besides the odd storyline I haven't found time for yet, there's not much I'm interested in here anymore.

I usually run 2 DLC dungeons and go to sleep , with upcoming huge DPS lost , 1 dungeon should be fine ? IDK , maybe we wipe and call it .

From different angle , It maybe a good idea to solve the lag issue .

I don't play this game like i used to do, since i did all that's significant to me. Never bothered with balance changes or i would be crazy, being a mostly f2p player. Tried to enter a core for raiding, but its hard to micro-manage the inventory. (raid guilds demands that you have 5 or 6 sets to do veteran trials all golden out...) I played this game religiously since morrowind realease, but stopped almost completely 1 year ago. The latest implementation were terrible, to say the least, completely useless, considering we have way more pressing issues (perfomance, fake tanks and healers, pvp, bots, inflation). A card game, really? Before that, it was companions, right? This soloplay approach bothers me so much, since i'm a oldschool mmorpg player.
