Pls do not nerf vigor healing

This is a purely pvp discussion. stam classes atm basically all use vigor as their main heal. By nerfing vigor , you take away a lot of survivability for stam based characters. Ofc we can run resto staff or class burst heals , but they all cost mag (except for warden) . This forces most classes to build more mag recovery to be able to utilize these heals effectively. On top of that, alot of buffs and utility skills already take a heavy toll on the mag resource pool( armor buffs, race against time, streak, cloak, shade, spirit mender/guardian, entropy, various cc skills). Yes vigor will get major resolve, but most classes do not want to drop their class armor buff since it often provides other useful effects/buffs. While the survivability is good short term, stam classes will not be able to sustain the healing in longer or outnumbered fights if they are too dependant on magicka based heals. I hate to see a meta where all stam builds have to run wretched vitality , tri pots and orzoga food to be able to sustain the healing. This vigor nerf could therefor reduce build diversity significantly, and goes against „play the way you want“.
This will hit classes especially hard that do not have a reliable burst heal and create further inbalances (mainly sorc that already received heavy nerfs ). So pls reconsider the vigor healing nerf, as it is atm the only reliable stamina costing heal.

    Seconded. I would very much like to see the conversations that decided one of the only meaningful stam heals needed to be nerfed.

    Resto heals are getting nerfed too, which will push people more towards burst heal spam.
    Regardless of mag of stam, this cant be what they're aiming for.
    Spamming 1 button for survival is not my idea of engaging gameplay, and as a templar main, I have already been there in the past.

    This is the nail in the coffin for what we used to know as the "stam" PvP playstyle. The unique combination of burst heal and short duration HoT was its cornerstone, as it opened up offensive windows in a way that the old mag burst heals didn't. Mag-leaning hybrids that spam roll dodge and run skills like Surprise Attack or Whirling Blades are already dominant on live. Any mobility advantage that stam builds once had has been erased by Race Against Time and the huge load of power creep in other speed and sustain buffs. So to those who spent years complaining about the "stam meta" in PvP, enjoy...

    play as you want doesnt mean "be top tier at everything whatever you choose"

    i'm sooo pissed when i hear about that arguing thing. other than that, everything got nerfed, dmg and healing so the vigor nerf shouldnt be much feldt. as for the resolve tied to it, it looks pointless but good to take anyway. just in cas someone takes the new set, the more buffs, the longer we'll stay alive :)

    Another good point, Vigor being non-spammable encouraged much more skillful use of defensive abilities. I've adapted to spamming Coag Blood on live and while it's effective, it's also braindead and removes dimensions from my build.

    Neither does spamming one button for meaningful damage, but it seems that's what we're getting

    Lots of damage sources weren't nerfed. Spammables weren't. Spammable heals weren't. Some burst damage setup skills are still doing good.

    While I agree with HoT nerf over the board, Resolving Vigor is selfheal and doesn't stack, I actually wouldn't mind them leave this heal as it is. Using Resolving Vigor correctly is a hell of a skill check, due to low uptime but no immediate heal either.
