Do not go through with the changes to Scorch. I'm begging you.

The change to Scorch are nonsensical. No one wants it, no one asked for it. Overhauling a class defining skill to such an extent is a terrible idea. The 3 second timer for Deep Fissure has been ingrained deep in my brain for years. I DO NOT want to relearn a class defining skill to this extent. This is the first time I've genuinely been angry over a change in pts. In fact, I was just happily playing with my magden until I saw this change in pts. I put down my controller and shut off the game because I can't even stomach these changes. In PvP for instance, do you honestly expect us to keep track of 4 seconds and then 6 seconds to time our burst and make sure we're facing the right direction?

I. AM. BEGGING. YOU.

Do not go through with this.

Also Scorch was changed last patch to add a minor breach so Warden support can maintain it, but nobody wants minor breach with 4s delay, considering you have to be looking at the target to land it so you can't focus on mechanics tryina micromanage it, that's opposite of accessibility D:

The only way they could "redeem" this change would be to make it cast instantly on activation in addition to the delays.

Sad day for wardens with all the other changes.

I've lost all trust in Zos. How can you trust devs that will just wantonly and drastically change classes to this extent. This is a slap in the face of every warden vet. They don't care about us. At all.

What about making it hit 3 times in total, once every 3.33 seconds? Even if it means tweaking damage/cost

i'm fine with them increasing the duration of the skill and making it go off several times once every 3 seconds, but there's 1 thing you don't touch, and that's the 3 second timer.

Agreed. It’s just baffling that this change was ever proposed, much less accepted and tested. This kind of thing is why zos has lost the trust of players.

While I'm also really used to the rhythm of Deep Fissure, I can see myself getting used to the change the same way I got used to the original skill. I appreciate the quality-of-life of having more skills on easier to manage timers.

If this change goes through, I'm gonna miss the old (current) Deep Fissure for sure, though.

That's cool. I hope you enjoy the change. I really do. For myself, if they go live with the change, coupled with them gutting my other favorite class, DKs, I'm done. Zos wants vets to quit, so I'll quit. Why play a game when the devs clearly don't want us to play.

Or, better idea - Why don't we take all of these changes to all of these timers and throw it all out? As far as I'm concerned it was all a waste of time anyway so what's it matter to me if it literally was all deleted without ever seeing the light of day?

The timing change might be the most egregious lack of thought and care for their player base.

It doesn't matter how you play warden, every warden has that 3 second delay EMBEDDED in their being. Our entire burst relies on it. Some of us have played this class for multiple years on a daily basis. Our entire muscle memory is defined by that delay.

If it fired a second earlier, maybe I could forgive you. 1 second later is absolutely unacceptable. So much happens in 4 seconds.

The 8% nerf in damage is also uncalled for. This skill already hits for way less than other class defining burst skills. I get that shalks can hit multiple targets, but we're already at a huge disadvantage by needing to "face" the target plus the fact that its damage is 20% mitigated by major evasion. There's such low reward for the stress and skill that it takes to hit moving targets at range with this ability.

It deserves an 8% damage INCREASE. A damage decrease plus the timing change is ludicrous.

Are you seriously going to nerf the (probably) unanimously voted worst performing class in the game?

It makes me extremely sad. My Warden was my main character for so long, but they keep throwing random junk into it and its barely recognizable anymore. Granted, it's not as bad of an identity crisis as what StamDK has had (claw spammable is still the most fun that class ever was) but I don't even enjoy playing her anymore. This just makes it so much worse, being inconsistent and uncontrollable.

i don't understand why they decided to go against the most playstyle defining class skill we have. sure it erupts twice now which is a positive, but the timing completely throws off everything we know

This change is an affront to any and all Warden mains.

Perhaps having a Warden class representative in a functioning feedback system would have put the kabosh on this before it made it into the patch notes - either way, it needs to be rescinded ASAP.

It will be also absolute bs to play against too. Now if you see charging animation, it is 3s. After patch, it's 3s or 4s, absolutely randomly to you. And next wave when you already forgot about it, but totally unpredictable, because timings are also different.

No its no problem. #1 shalks do 8% less damage, #2 advanced species will be utterly useless for magica setups (up to 12% less damage for everything we do!) and dot changes mean overall less pressure. Rest assured, Wardens are not likely to kill people.

It's basically just a much worse version of haunting curse now. It's haunting curse except it's incredibly easy to avoid, and it'll be hard to land on anyone because let's be real you're rarely going to be facing in the right direction to land the second burst 10 seconds after casting it. And in pvp, who wants to wait 6 seconds for that second eruption? Magdens will be recasting it after 4 seconds, but now it's much more costly.
