I feel bad for whomever designed the new jabs, they probably think this is a graphical update, it's not.

New rapid strikes animation will look like this with left and right hit.
It was definitely a dps loss as it was before. No amount of precise timing can get you to perfectly weave a light attack in a jab window since the channel was the exact length as the GCD. If you thought you could weave it fine before, that was because you were weaving it outside the gcd window.
It's actually a damage gain on sweeps, thanks to the fact you can now have sub 0.04s weave delay on plar, while also making it easier to weave for any player (old or new), because all players now have same weave timing for all their skills, instead of having to delay jabs compared to other skills.
It's literally the only good thing on patch notes along with BL changes.

Except it's not, since light attack damage was also nerfed pretty hard.
Also 40% overall dmg reduction to jabs.. no amount of easy weaving is going to make up for it.
And this patch was supposed to help with people who cannot weave, but not they have to weave anyway to make up for some of the lost damage? How does that make any sense.
With the dot changes we are also expected to spam our spammable much more as well, so you cant even make up for the lost dmg elsewhere.
And you also have to take into account the double nerf to burning light which got reduced by approx. 67% percent.

It makes no sense to remove an entire tick of damage and then to nerf the remaining ticks by 21%. They should have BUFFED jabs by at LEAST 30% to compensate for the lost tick of damage. Add on the 30% nerf to Burning Light and Templar has one of the weakest spammables in the entire game now.
