It's bad. This will kill builds that wish to build primarily around DoT damage and make DoT sets and Thaumaturge CP obsolete.
I'll be spending more time Light Attacking not less while waiting for everything to fall off, it's going to get really boring.

    Neutral on the matter.
its beacuse you all too powerful and some people were cheating and playign alone in duggens going to end boss finishing it and bogging off lol
its a multi playing section of the game..like o,o why..
you all going and being so powerful to paly solo .. too many solo players lol ..
the event was so good people were being social and teaming up in groups it was amazing.. but some were ignoring .. i had to find a guild that was doing farming runs. as a group too even get the boxes. iam happy now thou.. and i hope the futher content of the game is going to have more group work as in duggens and other places to group ques and that.. be amazing..
it will help us all out.. who dont like teaming up then we have too and then some the group people will be happy..
    lol
the thing is there is alot of solo content too much really and this will help the game to want to do tteam work maybe..
    lol
but true,, some people like solo games iots fine.. meh lol
have fun and hope we like the changes .. hope things will be better and if not we can always come back here and moan about stuff again lol haha

I guess that's one way to make fights take longer, you know, to be more engaging.

    They're screwed.

Like, there isn't even much room for another interpretation. Oh, and Necros actually soaked an additional nerf to Rapid Rot. Because taking out one of their major themes at the knees wasn't enough, their passive that buffed DoTs needed to be nerfed as well.

This is going to hurt top end DPS, but it won't be debilitating. If you're a new player, DK is about to become a noobtrap.

I just went on the PTS with my necro and couldn't even test. The animation is so messed up. My character's arms flail around and the sounds don't match the animation. My poor khajiit looks like she's drunk - slow and flailing at the target dummy. I at least wanted to see how bad the damage was going to be but I can't even do that.

I tested my DK. Now, to be fair, I'm a NB main, DK is not my main spec... but my DPS was half what it is on live. Half.

A bit of math for you regarding Winter’s Revenge:

I don’t think people realise how much this one skill has been nerfed.

Live it is 1 tick every second for 12 Seconds.

If you do 2k per tick, this equates to 24k over whole duration.

On PTS, it is 1 tick every 2 seconds for 20 seconds.

This equates to 20k. A 4k nerf, but wait, it is also 33% reduced damage per tick.

So total would now be 13,400.

So a loss of 6600 damage over its duration.

Total DPS per second in PTS in comparison would be:

    Live: 2k per second.
    PTS: 670 per second.

That is not a 33% damage nerf, it is a 67% DPS nerf on this skill.

Then take PvP into account for a further 50% damage reduction.

335 per second. And that isn’t even taking into account Armor and defensive buffs lmao.

Ugh. That is exactly what I'm afraid of. Things were too messed up to do much but what I did do didn't look good at all.

I would love to use my spammable more often but I'd also like to see the changes on PTS first, might change my mind.

Coming back to this, it depends I think. On one dps it wasn't really noticeable, on another it made my rotation very, very boring to parse with. In content, I'm so used to the previous lengths that I catch myself casting too early so all I see is that I'm running out of magicka. Longer uptimes could be nice but this is a bit too long. The standardization of lengths is really useful though.

Longer uptimes on buffs would have had the effect of making it easier to maintain those while doing a rotation. Nerfing DoTs while extending their duration just breaks the game balance.
