Crashing for the first time ever since beta

Up until last night, everything was normal, but all day today whenever I tried to play, there was a freezing from logging in, to all the way up to selecting my choice of character and then freezing during that. I tried everything from repairing the client, to reinstalling, to shutting down my pc and even doing a restore point from last week. For some unknown reason, I cannot get into the game, and nothing was changed. I am at a loss even after uninstalling eso and re installing. I wish I could call support to help me, but unfortunately, even though I have spent over 1 grand to play this game since beta, I have no one to call to help me.

EXACT same with me. Started happening this morning. Was doing writs then client just closed. Now keeps closing within a few seconds of trying to launch the client. Any threads I find that seem to be about this get closed after the problem is solved, without anyone saying what they did.

If you managed to fix this, let us know.

The takeaway is that updating the firmware and driver on my Corsair mouse solved the problem for me on both Win 10 machines that were using that brand mouse.

Others removed Discord's Overwolf overlay, and their game stopped crashing. (So did I, but it didn't help me.) Even if you've never used that overlay, it can still be auto starting and taking up memory.

I also think it's a good idea to delete old instances of Microsoft visual C++ and install the latest. When I checked my machine, I had 18 instances of MS visual c++, and not one was the latest! Here's how to do it:

I also bought a Corsair mouse before U33. I will try this too because I'm really getting tired of the 5+ crashes per evening on PvP Cyrodiil.
