Doshia - no orbs/invisible orbs

First - I've beaten Doshia in beta testing - so I know her visuals, her attacks and her take-down strategy. Or at least I did...

Tonight with my level 10 dragonknight (DC) I was looking out for the grab and orb generation (and anticipating my subsequent orb smashing) but they never materialized - and her health kept going back up as if they were there. I get the ground attack from her, then a swirling magic attack, but no orbs. Yet her rapid healing seems to indicate that she's still generating them - they're just invisible to me.

This is after many attempts, much dying & respawning with both soul gems and waypoint. Wondering if the recent changes to her might have changed her attacks also. However, nothing in the forums has indicated that her attacks have changed based on my searches.

Video card drivers are up-to-date (just checked), so I'm questioning if the missing orbs are a bug. Submitted a bug report in-game but thought I'd post to see if anyone else might have encountered the same issue.

Two possible solutions.

You can either kite her around, which will keep the orbs from reaching her (they're much too slow to catch up if you continue moving).

Or, you can drop a dragonknight standand when she gets to about 50% health. The AoE will kill any orbs that get close, and allow you to finish her off with ease.

Thanks Harkrider - I was aware of the kite technique but your comment made me re-evaluate my attack strategy.

I went after her again this morning and discovered that when she hit 50% the first time - instead of the typical orb cinematic it appeared as if she just exploded white haze - then her health went back to 100% almost immediately - no orbs in sight. After bringing her back down to 50% the second time the typical orb producing routine began. I basically avoided & survived until I actually got the attack/orb gen cinematic. Once that started working it was just a matter of kiting.

Still wondering if the first orb round wasn't glitched. In any case - I'm done with her on this character. Will see what happens with my others.

This was happening to my husband this morning. Very frustrating! I'll try to get him to do the kiting til the orbs show up method.

Same has happened to me. I killed Doshia in beta and twice after release. This was the first time i encountered her in EP. The area is really small and hard to kite there and the orbs were not visible for me, while she kept getting healed.
After several deaths i just gave up. Tbh I am almost certain that she is bugged.

Huh... This is exactly what I got the second time I fought Doshia after her "nerf."

First time, pre-nerf, orbs acted standard, was bloody difficult to beat, but I did manage it on one character...

Second time, post-nerf, she randomly healed at one point with no orbs in sight, and they only showed up right before I killed her with a lot of quick attacks, with no time for them to reach her or me.

This seems like this is part of their change? If it is, it doesn't make any sense to me.

I finally downed the miserable wench!

Whats up everyone i am a level 10 Templar who has had issues since level 8 trying to kill Doshia. I didnt even know about any orbs until i searched online (i couldnt see them) then finally after reading here i was able to down her.

I started the fight by kiting her. She didnt seem to follow me so i just beat on her until she morphed into the Medusa-Snakezilla. Then i bought my time waiting for the orbs to show. Sure enough they did.

Now unlike other posts i did not hit the furthest orb first. I was seriously shaking at this point because i finally had a chance to beat her so i frantically destroyed the closest orbs to me and threw a couple spells at her in between, the whole time my mind is like "JUST STAY ALIVE!" When i saw her health dip to like an eighth of the bar i just went all out hitting my execute, mashing every ability i had and i sent that wench to hell.

This is why i love this game. Ive played every mmo. and this ones combat amazed me with this fight. These fights just seem to feel good. it feels good to block with the shield and to unleash a power attack. And FYI i died an embarrassing ammount of times on this fight. like 5 times i said F this im done with this game. and something made me want to clear my head come back and try again. im telling you after killing her i feel so much better about this game.

TL:DR
you can down her if you dont see the orbs at first. Just keep kiting until they show.

As far as i know, Doshia sometimes likes to summon the orbs right on top of her, absorbing them instantly.
Which would explain the "white haze but no orbs". The orbs spawn, but they spawn inside of her and immediately pop.
