Im thinking about unsubbing, to make a statemet.

    Utterly laughable.

Agree'd. How many of the players that claim they are going to unsub were actually originally planning on subbing after the free time was over? granted there are going to be some but there are most likely more than a few that are just using it as as a statement whereas really they either couldn't afford the sub or do not want to play a P2P anyway.

How many will go back and resub before the free days are up? :)

The main thing for me was True Fullscreen Support and SLI Support. That was a dealbreaker for me because I need my extra card to get stable FPS in this game and without it, it ends up looking like Runescape v1. I already un-subbed until they fix that issue otherwise I will not be able to enjoy the game.

After they have written their own story why unsubscribing.

Becasue contrary to fanboys saying, some people here don't want the "attention" but they don't to pay for clearly unfinished product.

First please explain "fanboy" and who they are?

Second, have these people written to ESO team directly who don't want to pay for unfinished product? I think some have, what I understand, but usually people tend to like the attention - even though you say no. I mean, you want to see that there are others like you, with same opinions.
Anyway, wouldn't it be good if unhappy people would write to ESO team, maybe even flood them (not spamming don't mean that), via email. If you try to make a change, can't hurt.
Then, if someone decided already to leave for good, I cannot see any reason to write on this topic.

    Cheers...

I have numerous complaints about the game but the reason I will not play more is that VR is extremely boring for me, not because it's slow (that's a plus in my book) but because there is no further character progression in it.

Beyond that many things pushed me towards quitting from the start like - Duping which happens even now, multi-box teleporting bots, attribute soft caps, too much linearity, skill unresponsiveness etc.

The game, as beautiful as it is, is just not for me. Not so much because of bugs (I know these will be fixed eventually) but mostly because of design decisions.

No progression? What? You get stats and better gear every rank.

Yes, my mistake, used a wrong word, I meant character development, not progression.

    Already did:

    1) Game bugged and not finished. ("can't attack ", "take flight bug", "endless loading cyrodiil screen", "Cyrodiil lag", "compass", and more)

    2) Wrong provisioning loot in Veteran areas.

    3) Vampires in pvp.

    4) No pvp rewards or leveling.

    5) Boring grinding only through quests in veteran ranks.

    6) No marker for your teammates quests.

    7) Tedious bank store without even a search filter.

I will probably be back if/when they fix all this.

If you're talking about today's Road Ahead... well it's just posted today... so most of these comments were started before that article.

I am happy they have reaffirmed the EU server move but disappointed we still do not have a serious ETA.

    My reasons:-

    1. Bots:- I understand they will never be gone 100% but I spent more time reporting the same bot over and over again that I just gave up.Got to the point of reporting 30 bots in 3 hours all different in 1 area that it just killed my enjoyment of the game as I was limited in what I can do due to my 4th reason.

    2. Not having any type of system in place to limit the amount of farming bots considering it's common knowledge what happens to new sub based mmo's,major oversight considering it's been going on for over 13 years.

    3. Grouping ,doing the same quests with your friends all getting the same updates together...doesn't happen considering this is a MMO not a single player game.

    4. The server being based in NA at present causes me to rubber band and lag out(this is actually normal for me due to sub par internet due to being in a rural location in England so any server I connect to that is not in the EU I will always lag)

If they got the above sorted I will be back,i am not bothered to much about bugs at present as there will always be bugs in a new mmo.

the game has loads to do just a pity how it has gone so far.

How about if you don't like the game you just unsubscribe and leave instead of crying on the forums about it? Go create a perfect MMO since you know everything.

It seems to me that the crying comes from the people like you. Hasn't it ever occured to you that perhaps ZeniMax would be interested to know the reasons people abandon the game? Maybe they could use this information to improve the game.

The forums are not the proper place to give this supposed feedback. Thats why these kind of threads are not allowed. Once the mods wake up it'll be locked.
What are you smoking....forums are designed for all types of feedback, thats why they exist...even the feedback you disagree with..

Molag Bal made me unsubscribe, it was a tough decision but it was tougher trying to beat him and still being landlocked cus I cant beat him!! They need to fix stuff and im sure they are working very hard, but until the main issues are addressed I will continue to be playing Morrowind and Oblivion! P.S. im sure after anyone beats Molag the white gold tower still wont be accessable... This Cyrodiil is depressing.. and I miss being able to summon my own Daedroth and swing under water and breathe under water too.... I love The Elder Scrolls and always will but I cant pretend that there is no problems with it... Nothing works perfectly all the time.. I still love this "Open World Online Rpg!!!

@Chryos What you fail to understand is that an MMO released in 2014 should at a bare minimum, have server-side sanity checks to stop speedhackers and arbitrary teleportation (among a number of other exploits).

To not have this implemented in a modern MMO is suicide for your CS team. Look around you for the proof.

You can keep tripping over yourself to characterize those with legitimate complaints as children but it still doesn't invalidate the points people have raised.

I unsubed over a week ago.
    • This game is broken to its core.
    • It doesn't feel even remotely like sandbox. Open world means nothing when you are still led through it on rails.
    • It doesn't feel like a TES game really at all. None of the elements that made the TES franchise successful are really present.
    • The main story line is pretty lame/boring.
    • The segregation of upper level players from lower level players really hurts the community
    • Unless you are lucky enough to get into one of the rare, functional guild stores, then it's hard to sell loot for anything but barely above vendor prices.
    • The bots are out of control, and the measures being taken are naive, short-sighted, and unacceptable.
    • 9/10 experiences with the customer service are the worst I've ever experienced in the 17 years I've been playing MMOs.
    • The content is way too easy. There is no immersion. The puzzles in the game could be completely by a blind sloth bear.
    • Way too many progression stopping bugs that prevent people from playing for days/weeks at a time.
    • The turn around time for fixing issues is far, far, far too long.
    • They've already proven that they are more concerned with releasing new content than they are with fixing the existing content that is broken.
    • The game has F2P written all over it. I'll give it another 2 months of subscriptions before they decide to roll out the cash shop. Seriously, look at some of the elements of the game. They are setup perfectly for a cash shop.

    1. Don't wanna pay to play a BETA.
    2. Bots
    3. Lack of instances. At one point in my MQ I entered the pyramid in coldharbor to kill a guy. Upon finishing loading I have just enough time to watch 20 other ppl kill the dragon for me. DA ***?!
    4. Closely tied in with #3. No immersion, especially in solo dungeons. In the middle of the night it's somewhat enjoyable since other people sleep (usually cut short by maintenance)
    5. Grouping = Playing alone together.
    6. Lack of endgame, I did not rush, took my time, currently v3. No dungeons to do since v1. First dungeons able to do drop v5 gear.
    7. Introduction of AoE cap in half-assed attempt to fix imbalance.
    8. Half-assed attempt to counter bots prevents me from getting the item of a boss, already pissed me off enough I had to wait for respawn to try again. (then finding out it's completely useless to me)
    9. More stuff I can't (be arsed) to think off right now, pretty much given up on this game.

Many who are unhappy with this product, like the previous poster, seem to use at some point the word "boring" or something similar. Either it is some quests or something else. Just had this kind of talk on game zone chat, people were very different with ideas, for example two 50 "levelers" and "veterans" disagreed on the repetitive (right word?) thing of quests. The other one said that some quests seem similar to others, or even many. The other person said that he has never experienced that and never felt things (quests) being boring.
In any case, boring or lame or things like that if you feel things are, this is a very subjective thing and it is very difficult to say other than "Well then this game probably is not for you and never will be, probably". The things with downtime and bots and buggy quests (well I think they have fixed many now) are different things, but of course if adding to the frustration, I guess it makes some people leave. But I think this is a very minority, if thinking that this game might have millions of players and how many posts we have here? Even the whole forum? People who are happy seldom post about it. Of course I don't have any facts.
Why leave so easily? Maybe because this game costs money to play, well, I think it is good and I cannot see this going to F2P ever. We will see, but it would be against all the things ESO team has said or done and, what they will do.. or write (The Road Ahead).
Also I guess I've been lucky with the Customer Service. But as I've been in one in so called real life, you can't please everyone and sometimes, some customer doesn't get served - for a reason or another. It is a big thing. Also I can't see the "leading through the rails" or something like the previous poster said. Maybe I'm just dumb, but I feel this as open world as MMO can be. Maybe it depends on the way you play the game, shrug, or how I play it - they might be very different.
    Anyway, take care,

    Cheers...

    Posted this elsewhere:

My wife and I discovered that in order to follow the main quest, we were forced into solo-only instances.

We will unsubscribe until that is fixed. Allow the players the option on whether or not to solo instances. As full of bugs as SWTOR was, that's one piece they got right.

And you probably can't read all comments properly, if for example referring to mine.. No offense though.
Read again "..open world as MMO can be".
Besides, What WOULD be open world MMO to you then? Would it be exactly the same as Skyrim or, something else? Maybe even old Nethack?

There IS definitely a list of things we still need to really make this game a success, I think, but when I compare the pace at which changes and improvements pass us by, to other MMO's, ESO / ZOS is really doing a pretty good job.

Consider what has happened in the past month and what they have done to fix it:
    - Broken quests: all are now listed, a majority fixed, story quests are all OK.
    - Gold spam/botting/selling: is a learning process but at the same time top priority, they are VISIBLY acting against it, inform us about it, and this is going to be a continuing race and battle. To expect this to magically vanish is not being realistic.
    - Quality of Life updates, most notably the ones that really impair playing the game, are underway, most of them have been acknowledged and are undoubtedly coming to us in the near future.
    - Extremely fast response to the bank and dupe issues, and solutions came shortly after. It shows they are dedicated.
    - Official statements on both regular maintenance time change to accomodate EU players only days after the complaints were made, along with the recent statement that game time will be compensating 'till May 5th. Should this be expected? Yes - so it is good to see that it's happening.

    - The frequent maintenances should be heralded instead of disliked, because these are required to get the game up to scratch. I'd rather have maintenance than game broken. I'd also rather have maintenance than to have glaring issues like an exploit or other possible threats to game economy continue to exist.

So what do we still need, in my opinion?
    • Dedicated Fullscreen > SLI Support (Likely to come out after Patch 1.1)
    • Balance tweaks (upcoming and on PTS at this time)
    • Tweaks to VR content

All in all for a game of this scope being as it is currently I think ZOS is doing a pretty damn good job. This launch has been pretty successful, compare it to GW2 for example, or Diablo 3, or WoW's first large scale raids (!)... well we all know the examples.
