Nightblade PvE 75% heal 25% DPS hybrid

Hi everyone,

I am coming back to the game after a bit of a break (went on it before the big CP overhaul), and trying to revive one of my characters. CP around 550 I think.

The idea is Khajiit Nighblade healer with with some DPS component. Target for Normal and Vet non-DLC dungeons plus some overland solo - ideally enough DPS to be able to go through the dungeons even with lame DPS. Plus to have fun. Don't really plan to do trials with this girl. If I recall, for these essentially anything goes, but hey, since I am doing it, I can as well do it the best I can.

Currently I run Olorime's, Sentinel of Rhuzgan and Mad Tinkerer (for fun and to troll tanks). Ideal would be replacing the Tinkerer with something else - preferably overland, since I don't really have Olorime's jewelry.

Do you have any suggestions regarding CP points and equipment? Plus maybe skills that should be different compared to the standard Healer build (say from Alcast).
Can do Vampire if needed and if it helps.

Cheers,

Omath

I too have a Khajiit Nighblade. I use the armory system and have one slot DPS and one healer. Using the armory system makes it easier so that would be my suggestion. I'm waiting to see how the new patch shakes out and expecting to need changes to my build for the rest.

    I'm on the PS/NA.

Right, another big changes coming? Thanks.
Regarding the Amory system, it actually looks cool. Finally some benefit of having half of my toons cats - works for all the roles, so time to branch them out.
But anyway, I am not quite looking for switching between DPS and heal, but for a build that does good heal and passable DPS at the same time...

If I'm doing a dungeons with a group I just use my overland/solo setup that I've had for years and switch a few skills around.

It's very basic, just 5 Julianos, 5 Mothers Sorrow, Pale Order and a random monster shoulder. Flame staff / resto staff. You could take off Pale Order and have a different mythic or a full monster set instead, I just keep it on for simplicity.

Resto bar is usually radiating regeneration, refreshing path, illustrious healing and any other 2. Resto ultimate just in case but I never need to use it. Could use blood altar, healthy offering, orbs etc. On the flame staff bar I have wall of elements, swallow soul, siphoning strikes and any other 2 eg merciless, dark shade, sap essence, degeneration etc.

Really easy to heal through normals, get your HOTs running then switch to dps bar and help clear the mobs. Switch back to resto bar every 10 seconds or so and reapply HOTs, rinse and repeat. Have only done a few veteran dungeons as I don't really do vet content but it's worked fine.

There are obviously far more optimal setups that you could use but I'm lazy and have kept the same setup for years to do WBs, public dungeons, arenas and soloing group dungeons).

If you are in a good group, you can pretty much use 3 skills as a NB healer for everything but bosses in a dungeon. Unstable wall, refreshing path, and energy orbs.

My NB healer pretty much lives on my backbar during dungeons, up until bosses.

In a less good group, you might need to heal more, but trash packs with orbs and path and wall should get through most things... and then spam refreshing path as you speed your team through the dungeon.

NB healers use a lot of HoTs.... so often you'll find fights over before you've even finished your first rotation of HoTs and DoTs.

Good groups versus bad groups make such a big difference.

Yes, I agree with this. I mostly heal in pugs. I tried having a half healer build for normal base-game dungeons, but I kept running into DPS with less than 18K health, 300+ CP so it's a mystery to me as to why but they needed more support than a half healer build could provide.
