ESO - stuck firmly in the past.

Yea it seems to be what it ends up devolving into, doesn't it?

    I like it this way.
I don't like it this way.
    I'm right.
    No I'm right.

Meanwhile we're all posting on the official forums for said product and (presumably) paying the company regardless. Who's the bigger fool here? :P

It's tough taking your position in this discussion. I mean the game is a straight up theme park that uses the same designs we've been seeing for over a decade and you want to pretend it's something new. I feel for you.

Best advice I can give is try to be a little more reasonable, nothing wrong with admitting the game uses the basic WoW formula. It doesn't make it a complete clone. ESO really is antiquated for an mmo and in all the wrong ways. I wish it could be stuck in the past and be difficult and challenging to explore, like games older than WoW. Instead we got another theme park. Oh well.

I think what you're trying to say is this game is an evolution of the model that WOW itself evolved off of (that being EQ, really). In that case, sure. But you keep using the word "same" which I equate to "identical" - and it is not. I don't think I'm the one being unreasonable here in saying that the gameplay in ESO is not identical (or the same) to WOW. Indeed, I consistently see complaints about how it isn't enough like WOW (which you seem to ignore).
