This is so unnecessary in view of Skyreach being an instanced delve. One Skyreach run will almost complete this endeavor. In fact, if the two of you teamed up, you would get to reset that delve as well as completing the endeavor faster. If you grouped wherever you were, probably the same as you get credit for each other's kills.

EDIT: OK, I'm not sure what the kill condition is for this particular endeavor, since it refers to killing with class skills only and may refer to you getting the killing blow. Grouping may not be great for this one. A single Skyreach run is something like 200 mobs, though. It almost gets you there. Then you can go off to Spellscar for the rest (Craglorn overland). This one is probably best done on a magicka templar or nightblade with Sweeps / Sap Essence.

Skyreach Caverns is in Craglorn. It's an instanced delve, meaning everyone gets a copy to themselves. It's one of the places players use for leveling characters, since there are so many mobs there. If you are a meta player, a single run will only take a few minutes. All trash follows you. You can bite off big chunks at a time.

The way to reset a dungeon or Craglorn group delve is as follows:
    1. Group up with at least one other player.
    2. Complete the delve / dungeon, then exit.
    3. Change the dungeon mode between normal and veteran, then back again.
    4. Go back to step 2, rinse and repeat.

EDIT: Note that the other player doesn't need to do Skyreach with you. You can just group with a friend while they do something else. In fact that's probably the most advantageous way to complete this particular endeavor. It will allow you to solo Skyreach over and over. Because you are technically in a group, you can reset the delve after each run.

Interestingly enough... I have been farming a certain Public Dungeon to level the new Companions. While I get irritated when others come in and start attacking the mobs in my route, I remind myself that this game doesn't revolve around ME and other players have the right to the dungeon as well. I haven't had a single problem and many players see what I'm doing and leave me to it and go about their business, I have never had a player directly interfere intentionally... as in harassing... like I've heard of happening.

That's why I use skyreach for this, nobody to bother me. One lap doesn't quite get you to 250 in my experience, but it gets pretty darn close. Usually one lap through skyreach and one on lap of any one the overland zombie farms and its done. Takes 10 minutes tops.

This morning I logged in to quickly knock out the weekly endeavors, kill 250 opponents with class ability. I was running through one of the circle shaped delves and had been in there by myself for about 20 minutes, when another player entered. After about 5 more minutes I received a local message. The other player was asking if I would "please" move to another delve. Why? Because they wanted to knock out the weekly endeavor as quickly as possible!

    Seriously!?!

A new player has been added to my block list.

I would've ignored them and stayed longer. ;)

Nice or not, they still asked.

It's not an instance. If they want instanced content, there are places where they can play all by themselves. It isn't anyone's place to shoo someone else off, ever.

Besides, all that is moot. XP is shared. Thankfully this is one lesson from the past ESO learned and improved on.

Something like this happened to me too. I was waiting for a boss to spawn in a delve because it dropped a lead. I stood in wait across the room from it. Another player comes and the boss spawns right as they arrive. I notice that the boss has spawned, sprint over and attack the boss as well only for that other player to tell me that I am being reported...? That was completely baffling to me. That player tried to spin it as if I was taking the boss away from them and ruining their game somehow but they almost instantly blocked me after sending that whisper message. I was stunned.

In that player's defense he/she may have come from a MMORPG where bosses and mobs can't be shared without grouping. Most of them are like that from what I can remember. It's killstealing or attempted killstealing and highly frowned upon

That's one of ESO's great strengths: no killstealing. It wasn't easy to get used to that in this game but it didn't take long either.

When I am in a delve and heading toward the boss I never know if I should jump in and help others who appear to also be heading toward the boss or just run by. I see helping them so we get to the boss at the same time as being considerate rather than just running past and killing the boss before they get there.

They did ask nicely, apparently. Perhaps OP was the rude one for treating the request so aggressively. Me personally, I would have said "Sorry, I'm doing the same. Will leave once I'm done though" or something along those lines. No need to create hostility.

Just saying there are plenty of options in this scenario. A few that could make a new friend out of it even, rather than build angst that needs to be vented on the forums.

I believe that is because of a poor design choice here: The first time you get to a delve boss it will spawn immediately. That doesn't happen later, so if someone kills it before you get any hits in you not only lose the single quick spawn, you have to wait a long time (in many cases) for another spawn.

That can be really annoying for someone trying to kill the delve boss. I have been in that position more than once. Shifting to AWA made it worse, since that bonus seems to only be once.

(I could be wrong about the fast "first time spawn" but I read it elsewhere and it fits my experience.

It is incredibly bad when you need that spawn for a Bogrul (sp?) daily.

I had someone do something similar when I was doing some farming in Bleakrock (treasure maps and surveys), asked me to leave so he could farm it himself... actually claimed I was too high level to be farming Bleakrock since it was a starter zone.

Told him I didn't know he was the mayor of Bleakrock and I'll get right on that... then carried on as I had been.

As if that player couldn't have picked a different area of Bleakrock....

I wish we had the ability to change instances when this happens.

Seriously...things like this is happening mor and more I think we are getting refugees from other MMO;s with much more toxic communities....

LOL. Imagine getting angry at not getting an overland treasure chest. I really wanted those blue rubedite greaves!

You laugh but in places like the reach it gets real cutthroat when you miss out on a potential radiant bastion piece when Arkthzand Sprokets go for like 3500 a pop

LOL Yeah ...those chest can drop a few Minor set pieces but nothing dramatic..no reason to be that hyper-competitive.

Well in possible defense of whoever (not me) got angry, if you were in Chill Hollow, there are enough ways to move through the delve that the other person could have been killing the mob by the chest and neither of you could see each other.

I've roll dodged away from chests to avoid auto looting because I saw someone waiting to grab the chest isince I generally don't care with a few exceptions.

I wasn't...and I am very fast when lockpicking. I also keep auto loot off given the amount of junk offered.

No this person was a jerk, obviously knew very little about how the game works, and didn't want anyone to tell him differently about anything.

He is still running around (saw him last night in Daggerfall basically yelling the same things until my friend muted him) giving anyone near him a hard time until he is Muted and or Blocked...at least we have that ability.

endeavors with "kill" requirements like class or weapon skills require you to have the killing blow

"kill" requirements for a specific enemy type (10 humanoids, 2 world bosses, 1 player in cyrodiil, etc) only require dealing enough dmg to get credit for the kill, not a killing blow specifically

Don't get worked up on such trivial stuff.
As some wrote before, 1 Skyreach Catacombs run can clear the weekly kill requirements, make sure to not mix damaging ability types (e.g laying class aoe while weapon ability is needed), and avoid light/heavy attack weaving so it won't register as a kill by those actions. Do activate the chest in the middle parts, so the skeletons crawl out, they count as kills too. There are two additional bosses in the side rooms, and a third one with ghosts that takes ages to complete and locks the door behind you.

Now, players like that really need to be educated on the fact that this is an MMO and not a single player game. Although, that being said, I can understand their frustration because sometimes you just want to test your skills against a WB and when someone intervenes it cheapens the victory. Against a NEW WB, one that I haven't done before, then I could care less about soloing it... but if I'm just going back through old content leveling a new character, then I like the fun of soloing them with my Companion.

So, in a different game I play, bosses drop very expensive loot and did not have instances back when this story is from. I am usually very polite and will change servers to look for an empty room, as to not "crash" anyone (steal their kills.)

I was feeling impatient and just decided to crash this guy. He was wearing budget gear and had no chance of out-DPSing me, so I got all the loot every kill, he just helped speed up my kills. He told me to leave, among some other vulgarities Here's how it went:

Him: Leave ya cuss cuss cuss!
Me: Only if you ask politely.
    Him: Please?
    Me: Please what?
    Him: Please hop worlds.
    Me: Say Pretty Please.
