Big update on the Ground AoE's
I've Added in Arctic Blast, Caltrops, Extended Ritual, Hurricane, and Boundless Storm.
I've Removed Fungal Growth & Healing Ritual, for a look into Burst Heals Later.

    The power surge morph of surge is the AoE heal for sorcs. Although it isn't a ground AoE.
    Invoke Meridia's name to gain Major Brutality and Major Sorcery, increasing your Weapon Damage and Spell Damage by 20% for 33 seconds. While active, activating a Critical heal causes the ability to heal you and your allies around you for 2550 Health. This effect can occur once every 3 seconds.

    New effect
    The heal now heals in an area around you but with a longer cooldown, and only triggers off Critical healing.

    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

    That's a good point, but it's still a bit different, It's more in line with skills like Green Lotus than with Ground AoE's

    Are you sure about Unstable Wall vs Blockade size? My understanding was that both had the same range/length/radius of 18m, but the width increased from 8m to 12m with the Blockade morph.

    I'll also take the opportunity to complain about Liquid Lightning. It is simultaneously the lowest damage and smallest size of any ground DoT.

    Personally I’d like to see ZOS focus on the gameplay aspect of abilities rather than tooltips. Ex:
    - Interaction with the environment... Lightning Splash electrifying up to 20 meters of any water surface it is connected to and dealing more damage.
    - Unique ways to traverse terrain/have uses in trials.... A fourth Warden skill line granting an option to form shallow water surfaces, with Winter’s Revenge being able to freeze a portion of the water to form bridges or gain bonuses to other abilities.
    - Flame enemies (like Flame Atronachs) being highly resistant to Flame Damage and susceptible to Frost Damage. Same for all the elements in the ways they’d make sense. This would push us into caring about more factors in a class rather than only the pure DPS we do. Much more room for identity than granting Minor Sorcery, Minor Prophecy, etc.

    Mobs used to have specific resists similar to what you were talking about. They were removed though.

    I mean when your class does primarily "X Damage" like DK with Fire, suddenly having most your kit be ineffective doesn't feel good. Do I think that having a damage triangle type thing would be interesting? Yes.

    But with how ESO is built, it would probably get negative reactions to add a Damage Triangle for Elements.

    Well like anything it has to be tested heavily and balanced. Many enemies would not change at all or would only have minor changes. Ex. A Frost Mage NPC taking 5-10% less frost damage, but 5-10% more flame damage.

    But it’s also related to the current stat system which I take a lot of issues with. Ever since I started this game I’ve disliked how unnecessarily complex the stat system is.... a huge part of the reason damage feels low in dungeons or trials is because people don’t understand scaling and because the group didn’t read online or pull out calculators to get their penetration values correct lol. Idk another game that “Adds 659 Crit Chance” either.

    I’m going to make a post later in the week about changing stats because I have a lot of thoughts on the topic.
