Scheduled maintenance on a public holiday for the European server was silly when they patched the US server the day before when Europeans were working. Strange scheduling. Need someone in the office with an awareness of the wide world found on the web, this is not the World Series kind of world any more.

this, there is a big difference between emergency maintenance and planed, and when "zenimax" plan a maintenance on an EU holiday, the conclusion is quite simple.

I hope they know that Monday 5th is a UK holiday. We want no 'surprise maintenance'. Nor any over the weekend either unless it's 1am bst or so.

I hope you gave them a fake date, because they have a history of patching when the US has holidays...and have a feeling they want revenge for EU asking for their promised dedicated server. We had Easter recognized on a Monday and you can bet it was a long horrible bug filled patch...many subs fell that day

    Hello,

I have assimilated EU is also known as the Test Server for north american customers.

My question is when you plan bring the server to our continent and if you plan to charge us for the beta tester service we are doing.

    Thank you :)

Well lets atleast hope they keep *** up like this, then it will be F2P in a couple of months

i hope they are waving goodbye to all the subs

Btw: can someone remind why V1-10 ranked players should extend their sub atm ?

Well in this patch\maintenance its not true. This patch was already applied yesterday on NA server. So it was NA test server this time. But as you see that didnt helped :)

Every 2nd quest is bugged. Every 2nd day is maintanance. But the situation hasn't changed. Oh, yes and support's absolutly useless. But they are really good at taking money. For this "game".

No lesson learned, because the most expensive (at the time) mmo ever made went F2P in less than a year, (SWTOR) when all of those fan boys said it wouldn't.
Yet again, companies who don't and haven't ever run MMO's making massive budget titles yet fail on the basic fundamentals of running MMO's
    Customer service and communication.
When 85% of CS is taking up by gold spam reports (there figures not mine) you already on the back foot.

One day, someone who actually plays MMO's will actually have the money to set up a company to make a game and actually implement what they wanted when they played MMO's them self.

Our team is working on the 1.0.6 deployment for the European megaserver. Unfortunately, some steps in the process are taking longer than expected. We are working to bring back the server online and available and will share updates with you whenever possible.

    Thank you for your patience.

Do you guys really think that pople still have patience? LOL

And yet the devs said in a pre release Q and A that the transition from EU megaserver location to EU would be seamless and unnoticable. Typical PR BS.

And yet what you quoted has nothing to do with the eu megaserver transition. Nice try though.

You know what really amazes me, is that seemingly intelligent people keep going on about others who complain about unscheduled or "unfair" maintenance times.

    1. We are allowed to complain
    2. The complaint isnt unjustified, you want players to take the blame because Zeni cant get their own patch to work on their own server?
    3. We pay still during down time, the OP only said that he/she is getting tired of it now, its getting too much, furthermore the OP also says that they have been defending this game and its flaws and Zeni's blunders but now its getting a bit much.
    4. When people speak of compensation after several incidents causing downtime or making the game unplayable its not unjustified either, subscribers take it and we accept it most times, but a time comes when we also expect the developer to be lenient and "compensate" with a day free sub or whatever. Why should the subscriber keep paying for the mistakes of the developer?

I think most posters that try and defend the developer and start quoting he EULA agreement really need to get a grip, many people complain over the smallest thing yes, but the OP clearly has a point that he/she has taken a lot of slack and is now feeling its enough as do I and I am sure many others do also.

The update was a mess the first time, its a mess the second time, why is it? The maintenance is set for 5 or 6am (Which seems to be too late since they don't get it done in 6hours after that set time) or they take the servers down after that time, yes they update their threads too late also, must we just say "oh thank you at least you posted something"

I say no and agree with the OP that many of us were running to defend the game for its downtime and bugs but this is getting ridiculous. Getting a free day or something like that would go a long way and show us that we are valued as subscriber, right now we hardly get the time of day from Zeni

We accept that *** happens but we also expect the developer to own up to it and not let the subscriber pay each time for it, much of these issues could have and should have been handled better.

By continuing like this with maintanance every day for at least 4-5 hrs, a monthly worth subscription must take 34-35 days long...

If you have two options, which one do you choose?

1.) release game as they did, lots of bugs, lots of maintenance, but you can still play and enjoy
2.) release the game in november, hardly any bugs and only 2 weekly maintenance "in a good state game".

I would go for option 1 hands down.

    (

Make up your mind mate, you keep defending these people and then you say its too much maintenance.

It is too much maintenance and this is starting to sound like sim city, obviously no one here gives a *** so may I suggest that we tell our nice experience to the press so they can listen to our complaints by other means.

There is not a single soul from this company bothering to come forward apologizing and explaining why they are doing all this maintenance.

    Moderator Edit: removed cursing.

I'm happy to know that there is enough staff has time to put asterisks in the forum posts. I'd be happier, though, if there was enough staff to function as GMs á WOW style, and that the game would be playable. But apparently asterisks are more important.

I don't understand how ANET is doing their maintenance without even shutting down current playing environment!? You just relog and voila, you're on new version.

Zenimax really needs to rethink their strategy around this patching and maintenance stuff. Having EU maintenance in the mid of day on WW holiday is just HORRIBLE FAIL!!
