There has once again been a maintenance on a European holiday and this has made many people annoyed. We understand that maintenance has to happen, but people don't understand why the new patch couldn't have been put out yesterday when they did the us server.
In any case it seems plausible that ZOS don't understand the timing of euro public holidays. Thus I would like to open this thread where we post the dates of upcoming holidays in our countries so that ZOS can try yo minimise the disruption, where it is possible of course.

If a day is a public holiday in almost every eu country, maybe don't plan maintenance for that day, if it is only a holiday in one or two then go ahead. No there aren't but you seem to be willfully twisting the issue, if there is a holiday in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Benelux, uk, Poland, Austria etc on the same day it should be viewed as a general public holiday.

Today is a holiday for most of Europe. Here in Finland it is about celebrating Finnish labor, I don't know if it's the same for every country.

As I said I have no problem with maintenance, through the terms of service they can do it whenever they want. It with a little forethought they could avoid so many of the complaint threads and public anger. If it is absolutely essential to do maintenance on a certain day that is fine but explain why it is essential and people will be a lot more forgiving.0 -
yiasemi✭✭✭✭May Day is a public holiday officially in more than 80 countries around the world, I say more than because many places don't officially recognise it but ppl take the day off anyway. The reason the UK moved the holiday to a Monday was because it was considered too European and socialist and vaguely distasteful. The US has Labour Day at a different time of the year and I am sure the techs were just blissfully ignorant. It needs more awareness of the big scary world out there for someone in ZOS.0 -

You people are just unbelievable with your complaints that they are cutting you from playing during your holidays when there is an unexpected maintenance. THE MAINTENANCES ARE FOR ALL OUR GOOD IN THE FUTURE. Do you not realize that ? Have you not played any other MMOs? Have they not done unexpected things? I also suffer as much as you do waiting for this to be over. Are you people really that much spoilt.
"My holidays, your holidays"... Who the hell cares for your holidays as for who the hell cares for mine. But no, I HAVE HOLIDAY TODAY AND THEY MUST RESPECT IT AND LET ME USE THE WHOLE 24 HOURS OF THIS DAY TO PLAY.
I am just wowed from 90% of the comments in the threads which are created during these maintenances. You just can't believe how stupid most of you sound. You want things to be fixed but at the same time you want to play. Tell me, can a mechanic fix a problem on your cars while you are driving them?

the point i was trying to get across is most refer to the uk as though it was a country.
its a chip i have on my shoulder.. in most games (and everywhere online) if you have to select a country you wont find england as an option, and they allways use the wrong flag.
