If they held an EVENT where the players hunted down the BOTTERS and there were thousands of GM's online to ban them... then THAT Would be fun.
where did they say the game was released too early???harvester100b16_ESO wrote: »I know its sometimes fun to disagree and push posts into an all out flame war but this isn't about arguing or revolting against Zenimax its about changing the way they deal with us the consumer .and Zenimax have said they listen to the players and id still like to believe that's the case .
no one expects an mmo ever to be perfect damn even wow is buggy as hell after 10+ years if your waiting for all bugs to be fixed then maybe mmo's aren't for you. its being informed that matters to me and apparently many others.
Kudos to Zenimax for fixing so many things since launch and saying the game was released too early ..well that's something I feel every mmo ever released will be accused of

And just the same, players complain in the forums.
However, looking at the quality of all the previous Elder Scrolls, even with the minor bugs, I am a little disheartened with the current state of affairs.
Eventually my complaint will be read, scoffed by a fanboy, or considered by another who is irked just the same.
IN THE END... People will choose how much they can handle... is enough enough? When you are paying for a service, and you can't use it, even if you agree that you are not required compensation, it is just the RIGHT thing to give it.
When the month is up... if ZENIMAX is greedy, and they don't give some sort of compensation, I feel a lot of people will wipe their hands of the MMO.

How many copies of the game did you sell?
How many GM's do you have ?
You should have a GM channel.
Learn from Knightonline, Diablo 2, Runes of Magic. They had great ways of dealing with hackers cheaters and botters.
ALL IT TOOK WAS PUTTING A PERSON THERE TO WATCH OR LISTEN.
100 GM accounts can't be that hard to get going.
Then 5-10 SUPER GM's to watch the GM's
GOOD luck.
Yet again, the Fanboys are out trying to defend a lazy company with there downtime.
It'll be hard to understand, I know, but: there's a difference between "accepting the necessary" and "defending".
How many days i a row is necessary again? They could have down times at 2AM
Even then there would have been people complaining. Surprise: 2am in the UK doesn't mean it's 2 am all over the world...
Around the world?
Lol Europe is not the world and not that much diff from one to another, so 2AM would be better for all in Europe (we aren't USA so don't care about what they do when they have there own server)They could give more notice.
They notice as soon as they know. Wednesday was an emergency, and it's in the nature of emergencies to happen at short notice without prior notification.
Yeh, emergency, still tons of bots, still tons of dupes, tons of bugs so great they fixing these /NOT
I reported the never ending (soon as collected pops again) node pop a couple of days ago that was being harvested by level 3 toons, in a lvl 40 area and a wuest they use that makes them impossible to be killed by mobs, haven't even had an email from them confirming they had the report.
And it's still going on, I made a video of this also, willing to bet its still there today. They could stick to what they posted on server page and have Tuesday+Friday the days for maintenance.
They would if there weren't any unexpected problems - but there were. The patch installation failed (Tuesday) and a developing hardware failure required an emergency maintenance (Wednesday).
Unexpected 4 days in a row,
It's become expected now which is so bad....But as none of this is being done, don't moan when wildstar hits and more play that, as you can't play this as it down.
Like that picture someone posted said, play another game, problem is people will and end up playing it more and more and this less and less..
Scheduled maintenance on a public holiday for the European server was silly when they patched the US server the day before when Europeans were working. Strange scheduling. Need someone in the office with an awareness of the wide world found on the web, this is not the World Series kind of world any more.

I am usually not someone who comes to a forum to complain, but I admit that coming to the game early in the morning just to start to research a new trait only to find that this isn't possible again the third time in a row is really starting to annoy me

We will never find a patch time that fits for everyone. But on a server tagged as EU we can assume that the MAJORITY of the players come from the GMT/BST, CET/CEST, EET/EEST timezones. Thus if the downtime starts at 0200 BST most of the people will be asleep and not affected. Lets say the patch is 3 hours long, then it will end at 0500 ( or 0600, or 0700) instead of as it does now almost dragging to lunchtime.

this, there is a big difference between emergency maintenance and planed, and when "zenimax" plan a maintenance on an EU holiday, the conclusion is quite simple.

for Eastern Europe and Russia a (BST) 5am-9am patch is anything up to 9-1pm. 1am. BST is when patching should be done. Means it is over for eastern europe by 9am or so.
