Who would like to UNSUB and LEAVE the game, and Why?

Elunthir
Elunthir
The first month of ESO is nearly ended, so is with our included game time. I guess it is a good time to give some feedback to ZOS and maybe a chance for ZOS to collect their action and change our mind to maintain.

Firstly, I love the game, maybe simply because I am TES fan. However the following issues make me have the urge to leave the game.

1. Unplanned server down time, ESPECIALLY the lack of information/communication for the reason of downtime. Unplanned server down time is understandable, however not acceptable for a customer to pay for their consequences. As a customer, we are here to enjoy their service instead of sucking up their mess, which is not our obligation to do so. They have to compensate all the unplanned down time to us customers, however, ZOS don't give a damn about it till now.

2. Unconcern about their EU customer. As EU customer, it hits me hard. Hard enough to think about leaving the game. We got worse lags, we got patches during holidays(in most EU countries) and so on.

3. Lack of communication with their customer and necessary information provided. A lot of problems could be simply avoid by providing enough information and communication with/to their customers, however they simply neglected it. It feels like their customer service is a joke. No offence, their CS teem need a good training program.

Those are the main issues which affect me most. What are yours? How many bitter fruit you could swallow until you could not stand any more?

I did already unsub last week, even though I'm still playing on my free days. Why? Because I don't feel the game is finished yet, there's too much to fix and tweak before I want to spend more time in it.

I will play out my free days, as much as I can between all the maintenances, and possibly come back to the game later once it's reported to be in a good state. Unless I also get too hooked on Wildstar and stay there...

No offense to ESO, but currently I would have more fun in Skyrim than in ESO.

    Allready unsubbed..

firstly because the public dungeons are a huge piece of fail,in my opinion.

Secondly because they made grouping and playing with my friends really really difficult (which is weird since its an mmo :D )

I like the game so far its only just launched so there's definitely going to be problems but I wouldn't unsub I wanna see it grow and all I don't mind the maint and bug issues because its expected and omg I swear they have the best customer service ever I contacted support by phone they called me and fixed it right that minute in a matter of like 1 hour. I come from swtor where bioware does not give a rats ass about your complaints and basically nobody ever answers your tickets so other than the awesome gameplay and graphics and what not its also customer support thats keeping me on this game xx

I am prepared to swallow a hamper full of bitter fruit if these fixes and maintenances will resolve the issues we currently face in TESO.

However, when these patches and maintenances do nothing more than replace a bitter apple with a bitter orange, and they need further emergency downtimes to repair the problems thrown up with the scheduled patches, I find my patience tested at times.

People who don't like the game.

People who like the game but are frustrated with all the bugs.

People who like the game, but are upset about all the game design flaws.

People who tried an MMO for the first time and found it is not their play style.

People who like the game, but their friends already quit, so they decided to stop playing.

People who like the game, but want to come back in 6 months to see if it all gets better.

People who want ESO to fail, so they came here just to scream how great ESO is, so ZOS will fix nothing.

People who just lost income and can't afford P2P games atm.

People who loved TES, played ESO and just got bored.

People who love to duel in MMOs and can't believe it's not in ESO.

People who love underwater swimming in TES and MMOs but were shocked it is not in ESO.

    Did I get it right?

    • 4. Rapid Loot Decay, losing my crafted items value in 40 mins of playing.
    • 5. My vampire abilities broken in Cyrodil.
    • 6. Cap on ignore list. Need many many more slots. Seriously. Yes, there are that many total jerks I wish not to experience. Fire whoever put the cap in.
    • 7. Loot Timers and other garbage to "target botters" that is more harmful to legitimate players than botters.
    • 8. Expensive Respec.
    • 9. No statement or declaration of action against Botters and Gold Sellers. Jagex, the company that made Runescape successfully sued their botters/gold sellers and WON IN COURT.

I am not looking to unsub, but at this rate I will have fulfilled everything I care about in this game before my 6 month sub expires.

Not because of a lack of content, but because of these issues which prevent me from playing the game how I enjoy playing, and railroading me into an unfun playstyle. Overall, there are a lot of issues that come together to make the game a pain in the arse to play.

The model of "Never annoy your player" is the best way to go. When players get annoyed over and over and over, they quit because there are quite a few games that have less annoying features.

I will continue enduring it for now, and by the time my sub expires we will see if any of this has changed.

    Within; Without.

Im thinking about unsubbing, to make a statemet.

The downtime for the EU servers are unacceptable for me.

However, it depends on a couple things:
nr1. What time is it where the workers in US work. I dont want to force them to work at night time, unless implementing the patch is a one man job.

Nr.2. If the developers dont start to show any kind of communication with the EU players and tells us why they have to work when most europeans either got free or are not sleeping i might unsub.

Bugs etc. is part of the mmo genre. But if you dont communicate what you plan to do its frustrating and makes people think you dont care.

So to the developers, start showing some more interest in your customers. Most of us are not stupid, have played mmos for a long time and it should not be that difficulty for you to give more information.

The first step to accepting what is happening is understanding WHY. If you dont give us anything many people will get upset.

    1. Annoying, but it happens, the game's new and at least when the servers are up they don't crash and there are no queues.

    2. I'm in the UK and play just fine, I don't know what your problem here is.

    3. Yes, their CS is poor, but by that measure I doubt I'd play any of the 7 MMOs I currently do.

I find some aspects of ZOS aggravating but I love the game and expect to do so for some time, ZOS are taking too long to fix some things and don't talk to us enough but at the end of the day I log in, have fun and can see a lot more of that in the months ahead.

Right now there is nothing I feel so emotional about which would cause me to rage-quit.

What don't you like about the public dungeons? Is it that the layouts are literally copied pasted, they all feature a convenient skyshard, and are camped by bots at the end 'boss'?

Grouping is difficult in ESO, but that's ok. It's a single player game. You literally never have to group with a single person unless you want to do one of the three optional instanced group dungeons!

Its not a "I quit" thread. its simply asking for reasons to consider quitting.

I may unsub. I did beat the faction story and got to V1. There are some frustrations with guild search, armor decay, and such that bug me. But the overall issue right now is the main storyline.

I don't even like the main storyline, yet I MUST do the three last quest 40, 45, 50. I can't do anything else until it is beaten. And trying to beat a boss 20x times or 100x is frustrating and not enjoyable. And the resources for strats or videos online are not out there yet.

Would I give the game a second chance in six months, perhaps. I hope by then they also address my biggest issue, I want to do things with my friends, and have a way to make them.

Until then, I do have friends waiting for me and people I CAN do events with fin FFXI. As well as a multiple of choices of events to do. So I can take a time out if something is to hard for me to where I wouldn't want to log on.

So you dont want players to talk about what they find wrong about games? Are we all to live in a "pretend that all is perfect world"?

Have a nice May everyone !!

In my opinion, this survey should be taken by Zeni, but nevertheless, congrats to Elunthir for bringing it up.

The reasons for my unsubbing are :
    1. Bugged quests (relogging or alt-F4 to complete quests ?? Really??)
    2. Lag (a little in PvE, whiile PvP is mostly unplayable)
    3. Customer support (My bank slots/money are missing since early April. I refuse to send more tickets. One should be enough)

Meanwhile, I hope Braben's Elite Dangerous becomes available....

I dont like the fact that there are 30 others running around me killing all the mobs...and bots and farmers standing around killing the boss instantly nonstop.

My last few dungeons I "completed" without killing anyone,or looting anything....
    Really not fun ,at all!

As for grouping...I bought this game with some friends to play together and have fun...but guess what....we cant, because of the phasing and silly grouping mechanics
    '
    So i cancelled...as did my friends :/

Sad really, the game is good otherwise

I thought the attention seeking "I quit" threads were against the forum rules. Noone cares if you leave.

Firstly, the main idea of this thread is to give some feedback since their is no feedback forums. As I mentioned, I wish ZOS could collect their actions and maintain their customers.

Secondly, ZOS should care about whether a customer leave or not, simply because I might be not the only one who get the ideas.

Thirdly. please stop trolling a good intention.

Lastly, this will be my only and last answer with you.
