Assuming the last two parts that haven't been found last I check drop somewhere that isn't too much of a pain I plan on at least trying it on most of my DPS characters.

I always liked playing characters that weren't magic users in Elder Scrolls games.

ESO hasn't really made that a great option but, with the Oakensould ring I can now focus on just stamina abilities without taking as much of a hit.

I also haven't ever really enjoy bar switching or the constant need to rebuff of ESO.

I don't think in most of the activities I do on the DPS characters I will take a hit from swapping.

I may take it off if I decide I want to do more veteran content as DPS but, at this point I really don't.

I don't expect to use it on tank or support builds because things tend to go better when the character is capable of dpsing in most of the content that I do.

I'd like to. Tired of that endless swapping anyway, a heavy legacy of consoles and their limited number of buttons.

I play a lot of solo and small group content, and I do not use potions buffs too often. For my playstyle, the ring wasn't nerfed at all.

As someone who only plays one-bar I was going to use it, but after the nerf it seems useless to me. I already get the important buffs from the frontbar and gear anyways. This ring seemed to atleast balance one-bar somewhat.

It is stupid they nerfed it because of werewolfs, as werewolf is another skillbar. They should have simply disabled the ring for werewolfs.

Seemed a fun mythic while it lasted. Too bad ZOS took this approach, which makes it yet another useless mythic, like all of them.

In solo content now its way too inferior to Pale Order and 2 bars.

As I don't need to play one-bar (my ping is OK and if I don't overdo it my hands/wrists do OK these days) is way too much of a loss vs playing two bar, even in solo content like vMA/vVH.

In its original form it was intriguing, but in its current form is yet another ill conceived solution looking for a problem.

It looked interesting at first before the nerf.

Might still be interesting on Stamina characters, since most of the buffs come from magic skills but I rarely play those, so I don't feel much incentive to go out of my way to get it.

I was thinking about it and I did some test builds on PTS and actually I think that... no. It is not worth it. And yes, I am talking abou not using it on a Werewolf. Idk why, maybe it is some way it scales or something, but for the most part the tooltip on WW skills is at best 1K higher. For example Claws of Life skill on my current build has somewhere around 5.5K dmg, but with Oakensoul it has 6.1K. Not a huge difference, but one might think that the more the better, right ?

Well, not always... You see, WW is in human for for the majority of the time and playing with 1 bar & no ulti is just um... bad experience. There is no other way to put it. In case of Oakensoul, the "1-bar" drawback out-weights the benefits - even if I can temporarily "kinda" mitigate the penalty by using WW.

Besides, it gets worse if I start to compare it to using other mythics on my build. I will probably still farm the leads but using it later ? Probably no.

It seemed like a fun casual item to fart around with before the nerf. Could make a casual 80k dps build for vet trials when I don't want to play flight of the bumblebee on my keyboard to perform the miracle that is 140k dps. I was more happy for a friend of mine that has a motor function disability; he's never been able to participate in vet trials since he can only use very simple one-bar builds. He face rolls overland combat and normal dungeons with his 40-50k dps, and the ring with an adjustment to his gear put his build up to 90k dps. It's a shame that they nerfed it; he still hits 75k dps in overland content with the nerf, but since all the buffs on the ring are covered in vet trials, he still won't be able to participate without essentially getting carried. Hopefully ZoS rethinks the nerf.

No I can't see a point. In solo content its rather useless. Solo content is either too easy like overland, or I'd rather use Pale Order or something else. In group content im already getting all or most of the buffs.

The ring was in much better niche before, where it allowed less skilled players (or skilled but lazy players) to approach higher end more difficult content, but at the tradeoff that they wouldn't have access to the second bar needed to hit truly elite DPS numbers. That niche is gone now.

There's no "maybe" in the poll, but I might try it out. I hate bar swapping and might try out a one-bar build with this.

    Maybe.

It’s still pts so it may be rebuffed. But as it stands I dunno.

I really liked the idea of the ring. As an older player I am attracted to “one bar builds” and even nerfed I may still get it. Maybe.

Missing a third option of Maybe.

I'll try it out in a few setups to see if it meshes well with some builds or even my playstyle.

Pale Order is more useful than this ring in its current form. If they removed the bar swap limitation, a ring that gave you all major buffs would be something worth considering, but with the limitation it's just not a worthwhile tradeoff.

In it's current state, it is more of an accessibility ring now. It's main use is for those who hate bar swapping, has a medical condition that really makes it annoying, or any technical reason like ping or what not.

I don't need it for solo play, losing out on a back bar weapon let alone 5 skills and one backup ultimate looses a lot damage and utility. This is not even counting the fact that you're locked out of Pale Order now for a merger HP buff that's gets erased in one attack. Major Resolve is basically always on anyways. Which also means one of your 5 slots is locked to a heal.

In groups it is really only useful in pugs since coordinated groups will basically have these buffs given. The buffs can become useless if certain gear or classes are being used. Major Courage is the rarest of the four considering it's limited amount of sources.

Perhaps add some minor buffs if you really want to go the named buffs route.

I really don't get ZOS' decision making sometimes. They KNOW WW exists and is restricted to one bar in WW form but act completely surprised by WW getting a huge buff (which I don't see as a problem anyway tbh, WW could use the love) with this thing. They know plenty of sets and skills can give Major buffs and still made a lot of the original Oakensoul's buffs unique, which could stack with Major buffs, and then act surprised when "some" builds were really strong.

And the thing they never seen to consider at first is anything they introduce for casual, less skilled, or less physically capable people will also be used by the experienced and the min-maxers. You'll ALWAYS people pushing a few crazy numbers no matter what. Instead of leaving that item they introduced for accessibility, it gets gutted into uselessness for the people who could have most used it.

I don't see why they didn't just reduce the values on the unique buffs so they could still stack with Major ones. I might still try it, depending on how hard the Leads are to get, but eh.

No maybe or other. Bad poll.

Voted yes, sort of. I only use one bar builds. My main has two distinct bars. One is healing, one is frost mage for killing things. For me they're entirely separate. I never swap between them in combat. One I only use on Saturday for my guilds trials, the rest of the time I use my second bar. The only thing stopping me from using Oaky ring is that I've already golded my Winters Embrace rings. Now I wear 2 x Bogdans, 5 x Frostbite, and 5 x Winters Embrace. All gold.

If Oak had come out a few months back, I would be trying to use it along with an arena staff or something. But as I've already got one entire gold suit, themed nicely to my Highland themed woodelf frost warden, not interested in wearing anything new.
