We cant test our characters on pts ?

This morning i had to create a new character for testing. So i am with a lv 50, magicka with a bow ..... come on how do you want me to test anything having to set up my build, with no cp, and warden.
I will just test the Tribute stuff if i can. But for anything with a fight involved dont count on me

- mount is at 0 skills at 0 and few gold .....

I have no idea why they do this but you only get to use your actual characters for like the first two weeks of every PTS.

It's another annoying barrier to entry for people who just want to pop on and test something quickly.

It rotates between NA and EU characters so everyone can test their characters.

There should be a max level template character you can create with a drop down menu in character creation. They'll have access to all sorts of stuff like gear, mount riding lessons, etc.

THank you! i must have missed this stupid me. Going to create a max one. But if this is what i think, like having the best gear in game, this is not going to be very helpful to see if my characters with my play style, can deal with the new stuff, as i will have first to get used to all the new stuff. (my mind is probably not very clear to explain, hope you can still read inbeetwen the lines lol)

Right, but it's a super awkward process to: create your new character template -> get your mount speed up by clicking the books 60 times -> add gear items/foods/etc. that you want from the clunky boxes -> buy a new house from the Crown Store for 1 Crown -> buy a training dummy the same way -> go to said house with said dummy -> finally do what you came there to do.

And like heaven forbid if you want to use a Crafted set or something because then you have to physically travel to the Crafting Station with zero Wayshrines unlocked, add the needed Crafting materials to yourself with the clunky boxes, and then finally craft your set.

There has got to be a better way to handle this. As it is, I only ever both to test things after our character copies are wiped if it's like a life or death late-PTS balance change for one of my characters. Ain't nobody got time for jumping through all of those hoops just to noddle around.

You can basically recreate your character since the template has access to just about everything, though it's a bit of a pain to get everything just so.

Too much stuff on template and not enough space. I had to delete so much trying to find stuff that worked that I gave up and deleted it.

As YandereGirlfriend suggested, you can go to the crown store and buy riding lessons, then go to a city and buy max bag space with your billion gold. Can buy the banker on the crownstore as well.

Still kind of a pain to manage the cascading boxes, but the inventory aspect itself is manageable.

I thought I was just dense from being tired and didn't know how to do it in the new login style. Glad it wasn't that. Not happy people can't test stuff.

All crafted sets are in set container as well
