I have a question about subterranean bots: are they really existing? Or when resources disappear magically, can that not simply be due to a crossover of two different instances of same map?
I see it happening a lot more often since about one week and I'm curious about it. Could someone explain/confirm?
Thanks.
Sure, it wasthe question was whether subterranean bots exist.
Actually, it should be unnecessary to explain why. The same goes for cheat threads. That's why I wrote:Asking about bots abilities, as well as general discussion on the subject, is not welcome here for good reasons...
I once encountered a character who was gliding over the ground and would also turn invisible, only appearing when it reached a node.

There are cheat programs, but ZOS watches for them now and bans the account and IP near instantly and permanently. They didn't used to be able to detect them very well years ago, they do now. Those accounts a usually very short lived. That's why you don't see folks flying around Cyrodiil raining endless Ice Comets down anymore either.

Do you have any evidence that ZOS can detect them? Is there a post or confirmed quote from the Devs? Or is this just what you think. There is a well known cheat program online that still appears to work for many things. But alas I have no first person experience. I only know based on the forum chat that continues there.

Try looking up ESO ban wave for starters. How about you provide evidence they don't ban cheaters?

You are the one that claimed that ZOS is able to detect them well and quickly bans accounts. I asked you to validate your claims. You have not. /wink

They don't post often about it, but I did by telling you what to search. This entire discussion is bordering on being against the TOS, so no, I am not going to give you direct evidence to let you know if someone can cheat or not and get away with it.

Look. You are missing the point. I believe that ZOS does everything it can to combat bots and cheat programs. I have faith that they always have. I also have knowledge of players who have been banned by their own admission and by my own reporting. But as we all know, those who make cheat programs are developing ways to overcome any protections that the game puts in place. It is just the nature of the world.
I'm sure you meant well, though.

They dont do so, because:some wrote:Do you have any evidence that ZOS can detect them? Is there a post or confirmed quote from the Devs?
Why should they share any knowledge about it with players, .... and cheaters?Do you have any evidence that ZOS can detect them? Is there a post or confirmed quote from the Devs?
To make it easier for cheaters to find new adequate programs when the one they are using doesn't work well anymore?
This question actually always pops up in every thread about this topic, and it doesn't do anyone any good, except to pique the interest of those who want to cheat, or even give them hints.
BTW...You only have to look at old threads to see how often, of course.... always "just out of interest", people ask about such programs. Sometimes I think some are slow on the uptake ....
