Brigadine Antonius in Leyawiin is way worse than Stuga

I've been doing a lot of the dailies in Blackwood recently and this NPC is right next to the wayshrine and calls out "The Ivory Brigade has need of you!" every time I go by. He is also outside one of the gates going out of town and yells the same thing.

I thought I would finally just do his quest to quiet him, and it was a long chain before it finally completed. I thought I was done with him, but no. He is still standing there and this time he calls out "There you are. Captain Rian sent me to find you."

I don't want to do all the story quests in this zone right now and find this beyond irritating. Please let the first quest chain quiet him down. Stuga may be irritating but at least she stops stalking you once you complete her quest.

yeah, but if you go to Orsinium where Stuga's quest sent you, you'd be hassled by other people instead, pointing you towards the next stage of the Orsinium quest line.

Main quest lines are kind of like that. Quests are for doing, not avoiding :-) After all, you have the option of avoiding him by not being in Blackwood.

That's why I find Stuga more annoying, because she turns up EVERYWHERE - trying to get you to go from there to Orsinium. At least Antonius stays in his own zone.

Vvardenfell is less annoying to do one's dailies in, because the person who tries to talk you into starting the Morrowind quest is not between the wayshrine and the crafting area (although she is between the wayshrine and the event merchant area.) Summerset is even less annoying, because the dailies are in Alinor but the first quest is in Shimmerene. The only annoying thing about Alinor is that the stablemaster is halfway across the city and the bank is by the wayshrine, compared to Vvardenfell where the stablemaster is between the wayshrine and the crafting zone, and the bank is right in the crafting zone (also the Alinor outlaws refuge is considerably further away and harder to find, Vvardenfell has the more convenient outlaws refuge.)

If all else fails, there's always Rawl'kha.

PS. Another way to shut quest givers up is to start their quest but not finish it, leave it unfinished in the quest log.

They are for doing when I want to, not because I am being harassed. I did Stuga's quest and wasn't bothered again.

that's because you weren't in Orsinium. (It wouldn't have been Stuga who bothered you there, it would have been somebody else, but you *would* have been bothered by them.) If you are in a place that isn't Leyawiin, Antonius won't bother you. There's another reason why Vivec and Alinor are the two most favoured places for dailies - NONE of the quest givers bother you there, not even Stuga, not even the quest prompts for the Morrowind and Summerset quest lines in fact.

I chose Leyawiin for a reason and he is right next to the wayshrine there.

And to clarify, I'm not referring to the daily crafting writ quests.

He is annoying on my alts who aren’t going to do the quest. Like you said, he’s at the wayshrine inside Leyawiin and also the one outside so you get hit twice doing the Undertow Cavern daily.

He’s not as annoying as the female scout in Markarth who is yelling at you at both the wayshrine inside Markarth and the one outside. Geez. Somebody turn her down about 100 dB.

I did the quest thinking it would be the end of it but then he just started yelling about another quest. It was a long quest too with multiple steps.

The ones that get on my nerves are the duo in Rimmen between the wayshrine and the writboxes. They have dialogues about two quests, the undead in the Ashen Scar and the monks seeing butterflies. But doing the quests doesn't shut them up, they just do a different dialogue. So I get to listen to those four times a day for each of my crafters. I'm seriously considering moving to another spot because I might loose it if I hear another "any necromancer's motive!".

Bera the fighters guild person is the most annoying in Leyawin. For goodness sake stay IN the fighters guild and I'll come find you if I want you. But no she hassles you everytime you port in there.

I get hassled four times in one daily crafting sequence by Bera in Leyawiin. Once when logging in at the writ board, once as I run to turn in the writs, once as I run back to stand in front of the writ board, and once as I park at the board. At the minimum, the designers could limit these sorts of call outs to one per log in.

TBH, I really do not find all those characters particularly annoying, with the exception of Bera, who has not the decency to shut up after her first invitation. Some have even alluring voices, like the Mercius sisters (are they twins?).

All in all, for me, they contribute to that acoustic background that makes ESO rather unique among MMOs

They should change quest starters dialogues to acheivements, that way once you hear them on one character they are completed for all characters. :p

It would be nice if there was an option on these quest starter NPCs to acknowledge that you heard them and stop all future audio announcements from them. They could leave the quest marker over their head so we could pick up the quest when we want to without being harassed nonstop.

If you pickup the quest but don't do it, they leave you alone. Delete the quest from your log when your done with the zone and they will resume to bother you, in case you forgot what you were doing.

I know but I find it equally annoying for this quest to keep popping up on my screen as my current quest if I keep it in my log.

As much as these harassing NPCs are hated it seems they could do something to make them less annoying. I don't mind them running up to me. It's the audio that I find annoying.
