Emperor Changes

The first change I would like to see is how a player becomes an emperor. Instead of the current leaderboard for an emperor it should just be a leaderboard for total AP earned for the end of campaign awards. There should also be a emperor board. Emperor board would be based on number of emperor keeps captures, number of outpost captured near emperor keeps and emperor keep resources captured, etc... The more you help your alliance capture keeps, resources and outpost that helps get an alliance gain the emperor buff the more points you gain towards the emperor leaderboard. The emperor points cannot gain any bonus and are flat stats given. This will ensure if a player is an emperor they can't cheat by boosting to get the emperor buffs/title.

The second change is once a player earns emperor title during a campaign if dethrone that player would be removed from the emperor board for the campaign.

The third change is that emperor is not by toon but by account. This would give players who play alts a chance to become emperor.

These three changes would ensure more players are able to gain the emperor title and buffs and it would ensure that AP boosters are less likely to be an emperor and if they do get and are dethrone another player can now move up and become emperor.

    No.

You want Emp work for it like everyone else does. The only concession I'd ever consider is that once a player has been Emp any further AP that character earns is frozen as regards the leaderboard.

I wouldn't get emp even if the changes I requested were implemented. The changes aren't meant for me; it is meant for the players who are trying to help the alliance get the Emp bonus and provide those players a chance at earning the Emp title. I'm rarely at one of the Emp keeps pushing for Emp, instead I invade other locations that can open a gate to get scroll or locations that make it easier to run scrolls. The only emp keeps I will help with are the two primary ones leading to the three alliance keep. Outside of those two I rarely invade other emp keeps.

Your idea of one and done emp would make no one wanna push since they’ll offline emp good players and will push them off the boards early on. Boom now billy joe snipe spammer is up front and nobody wants to push for soul gem sinks.

    Off topic opinion
Emp seems so underwhelming now since max stats are a joke. The only thing that’s noticeable is being super survivable with max health, healing, and ult gen. Starting to seem outdated.

Maybe give emps extra pen and spell/weapon damage too since everyone is impossibly tanky these days. I’ve been in situations and helped defend emp with friends where unkillable tank things stack pins and you can’t do a single thing to them. Those buffs alone would prob make me start pushing emp on occasion

Also stop letting emp faction pick up hammer. It’s goofy on either side of the equation. If emp faction gets ham and steamrolls I’ll get on alts for tier ones lmao

I agree with this idea. However, I think there should be two leadboards. One that is total AP earned during a campaign and one that is essentially the same thing for emp. However if one gets emp and losses it, then the player end up at the bottom of the emp board and needs to work their way up again if they want emp.

    Favorite Foods and Potions

    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

There's guilds that can help you get Emp. A lot of times it's the guys part of big guilds that you see up there. And they help get their other guild mates to get Emp. Just get involved in a helpful and active pvp guild, NOT a 1v1 guild, I'm talking about an actually guild that runs Cyrodiil and imperial city a lot

    To be fair...

By work at it, do you mean boosting from 3 to 8 am or playing 18 hours a day to EMP squat the campaign? Because that's how you get it right now and has no bearing on skill.

Basically you don't have a life outside of ESO to get emp or you cheat by boosting with your buddies. Both IMO doesn't work for the average player. When I did spend most of my free time only on ESO PVP I got maybe in the top 50 once. That is roughly 4+ hours a day playing during the weekdays and 8+ during the weekend.

Most players who do spend quite a bit of their free time in PVP won't get emp unless they work with their guild in a low population campaign and even those areas are now slowly picking up other players.

It's elitist. I have it. Did it the hard way. Never again. It shouldn't be locked behind going into a cave for a week or boosting outside your home keep with the other color.

It barely holds any meaning anymore, most people just boost their way to getting it then lock everyone else from having a fair chance.

For the longevity of the PvP scene it would be healthier to prevent reoccurring emps, there are few things to aim for. And when people learn the amount of effort necessary, and even then someone can just cheat, then most won't even bother trying.

I know we as the PvP scene are very adamant about not rewarding things without earning them, but we also need to have realistic options for people to WANT to engage in PvP in the first place.

I know someone that gave up on trying to become an emp. He played 14+ hours a day straight for a few months on one character and the closest he got was to 2nd place behind the emp. He was around 2 million AP behind the emp. The emp, simply boosted and my friend did not. The emp played 6 or less hours but had way more AP than my friend simply from cheating as that is what boosting is.

I think the AP earned toward being an emp should only can come from AP earned from defending or capturing the emp keeps and the three emp keep outpost. This changes along would improve how emp is awarded. Players that boost would actually have to help defend and take a the keeps over to get emp instead of cheating.

Emp passives don't even work after update 33 in any campaign. They should work on this first. The passives are gone if you zone or log.
