NPC language in German, text in English

in the quests Seeking the Guardians, Reclaiming the Elements and Purifying the Wyrd Tree, most the NPC dialect is in German while the text is in English. could not get in-game support window to show in order to report this.

I am having the exact same problem in the same areas, is it only in these areas or has my voice over language going to be in german from now on?

Happened to me on Sunday. I reported it and others have as well. It seems to largely just be in those areas.

When do you enter that? I tried while in the last battle room before engaging the boss but it didn't change anything?

It's not happening all the time, the game its self is set to the correct language, it's just these few quests

I have just encountered this today. I have 3 characters running, one Ebonheart Pact, one Aldmeri Dominion, and one Daggerfall Covenant, levels 14, 10, and 9 respectively.

I have never had any problems with the voiceovers until I was doing the Seeking the Guardians, Reclaiming the Elements and Purifying the Wyrd Tree quest group, when suddenly the voiceovers for the Guardians were in German, which I do not speak. It was shocking but not too disruptive in Reclaiming the Elements, even though I could not understand the "tips" that the Guardians were giving me (audio only, naturally one can't expect subtitles during a battle) to defeat the Corrupted Guardians.

Purifying the Wyrd Tree is actually problematic, because I don't know what the Guardians are telling me to do to survive the Corrupt Guardian of the Tree. I actually had to leave the area (after dying twice) and open up the chat window (I have a tab that displays only NPC dialogue) to see what they had been saying. This is not optimal and I'm not feeling that I completely understand the mechanics of this "boss" fight enough to win it.

Because no other NPCs have this problem, it seems to me that somehow the wrong set of audio files are getting called in this particular quest script for the English game (which is a very Elder Scrolls kind of problem, if you've played (m)any of the single player games in the series). I guess I'll try the on-the-fly-scripting in my next session, but I'm not filled with hope that trying to rescript a running quest script while it's running is going to work.

I was able to report it as a Dialog/Localization bug, though, so maybe somebody will change the one line of code that it probably is in the next patch.

I have this issue with the quest "Reclaming the Elements", where the spirits speak in German, while the text is in English. I tried the command you suggested, but no effect.

It's a bug, they stated awhile back that it would be fixed in the first content patch (which I assume is 1.1).

Yeah it does it in several quest on the DC side. The worse was one that wasn't a NPC to communicate with but one of those where the npcs just speak. It was around the 30-40 level range but can't remember which it was, I did report it.

Reclaiming the Elements: Fixed an issue where the portal stone could not be used when looking at certain areas in front of the Wyrd Tree.

Glad to see they fixed something in the quest, but have they fixed the GERMAN in the ENGLISH region of the game?

first time i heard it it was some ghost/spirit lady talking to me and I thought it was a cool spirit language or something they'd made up for us... Then i realised I kinda understood some of it and chuckled.
