Claiming old Guild names

Does anyone know if there is any way to claim names for old guilds that are defunct and no longer active? Would this be possible like the archiving of old players?
There's a guild name that I would love to use, but was claimed back in 2015. It doesn't appear to be active in any way, and I would love to snag that name.
If anyone like maybe @ZOS_GinaBruno knows, that would be awesome.
Just a hopeful thought.
Thanks

You can always send a request to customer service. They have changed guild leaders when the leader is no longer playing the game. However, if the guild still exists I would hope they would not give someone else their name as it does not matter if they are active or not, it still exists.

I can say I have guilds in two games and we still get together and play from time to time even if the guild is not active for a year or two at a time, it is still a guild that exists in the game.

I suppose you're right.. who knows.. they may have been some amazing pioneering guild back in the early days and deserve their recognition.
I'll just make a similar name.. Thanks for keeping me from being a selfish ass :)

As mentioned above, you can send in a request through a customer support ticket.
