From a business perspective, if they did have a sale again this event, and the numbers generated were substantially lower than previous years during this event, it would look very bad to the investors. With a 30% drop last month on the Steam charts, the chance of that happening seems like it might be fairly likely, but only ZOS knows why they do or don't anything.

That reply reads as "it could be coming but we don't announce sales until they're live." The previous times I've seen Kevin write a post like that something was announced within a few days. I still expect something next week.

From a business perspective, having a sale would be wise because it would create revenue to subsidize the drop off and possibly entice players back to the game to enjoy the new content they get with said crowns. From there, it could snowball into more plus customers who may have cancelled or decided not to renew.

Sales generate business. They don't diminish it. Having a sale to encourage players to come back, to buy up now would actually benefit them. When less players are playing, when there is a dropoff - that is the time to pull out all the stops to bring them back.

However, given the myriad of issues they have had with their ability to handle load as of late, I'm wondering if they have decided to do more of a planet fitness model where they want players to buy content, to subscribe to plus, but to not actually play the way planet fitness wants members but likes that the majority of them do not use said membership. It's actually better for them to have customers that don't show. Possibly the same here.

Knew the anniversary event dates before announced. Its been the first Thursday in april every year.

I don't know about pounds, but for the American dollar prices the 21,000-Crowns pack has always been the best deal, with one of the others (14,000 or 5,500) being pretty much the same but differing by some very small decimal amount.
