If I'm honest, my favourite ever cake was my home-made wedding cake which was orange and cardamom sponge with pistachio praline and rose water frosting...

✭✭✭✭Strawberry cake which is seasonal as it is made with fresh strawberries. It's a white cake with many layers and between each layer are strawberries that had been sliced, covered with sugar, and refrigerated until the juices emerged. The cake is then wrapped and refrigerated for a day or two to allow the strawberry juice to spread a bit into the layers. Before serving, make White Mountain Frosting which is a cooked syrup that, after cooking, is slowly poured into beaten egg whites that are in a stand mixer while it is on. The cooked syrup is beaten with the egg whites until it becomes a light fluffy frosting that is very delicious. Spread that all over the strawberry cake and eat!
I also like carrot cake, coconut cake, red velvet cake, German chocolate cake, ... .
