daily quest cap

Why is there a daily quest cap, when daily quests are adding all the time? Its not like you can really gain an advantage in trying to do all the content added to the game for us to do.

I didn;t even know this was a thing until the previous PVP event when I was trying to do all the town quests in Cyrodiil after doing my crafting writs, think the max is 50? It was a bit frustrating

Of course there's a daily cap... well there goes my plans to do all the dailies every day for the anniversary event...

Not that I personally would do fifty dailies in one go, but there really shouldn't be a limit on dailies.

The cap is per character, enjoy doing 50 x 8-18 characters of daily quests.

Yeah if you really going to hit 50 (congrats) why not let them do them as much as they want.

That is a chunk of time invested doing them. Silly limit. Needs to be changed.

    This.
It's per character. Personally I am fascinated how people find the time or will to do 50 quests a day on one character.
    Total ESO playtime: 8325 hours
    ESO plus status: Cancelled
    ESO currently uninstalled.

I've hit the cap multiple times during Midyear Mayhem. I only go into Cyrodiil and IC during MYM and run as many dailies as I can to pickup motifs, currency and nowadays to add to the sticker book. With 49 dailies in Cyrodiil depending upon how many you complete it is easy to be capped after a few open world/crafting dailies. There really is no need for the cap since there is already a limit on how and when you can rerun the quests.

Some of us only play one character since most things like motifs are for one character only.

Same here ITH77. I started my first characters in August and never created another. Been a Nightblade from the begining.

This cap should have been removed when the widely popular :p;) account-wide achievements started.

I assume that the changes to ESO are for encouraging us to not use multiple characters. This cap does the complete opposite for events like what is upcoming.

I am like the other person up a few posts, didn't know it existed until I had done my crating dailies and headed to Cyrodiil for those sweet MYM town quest rewards, and capped out in no time at all. I was sorely disappointed to learn there was a cap.

I don't agree that it's "this". There's a question of with how great efficiency one can complete dailies so that the slog:reward ratio doesn't feel offset. Just because you can, in theory, do 50 dailies on one of your alts, that doesn't necessarily mean you'd want to because your alts may all be works in progress (untrained mounts, weak builds, et cetera). The cap is unnecessary.

Yeah, not really sure what the point of a limit is. That just keeps people from doing content, if they only have one or two characters. Isn't one of the big things of an MMO to keep people playing? You'd think a limit would be counterintuitive.
    Character List [RP and PvE]:
Stands-Against-Death: Argonian Magplar Healer - Crafter
Krisiel: Redguard Stamsorc DPS - Literally crazy Werewolf, no like legit insane. She nuts
Kiju Veran: Khajiit Stamblade DPS - Ex-Fighters Guild Suthay who likes to punch things, nicknamed Tinykat
Niralae Elsinal: Altmer Stamsorc DPS - Young Altmer with way too much Magicka
Sarah Lacroix: Breton Magsorc DPS - Fledgling Vampire who drinks too much water
Slondor: Nord Tankblade - TESified verson of Slenderman
Marius Vastino: Imperial <insert role here> - Sarah's apathetic sire who likes to monologue
Delthor Rellenar: Dunmer Magknight DPS - Sarah's ex who's a certified psychopath
Lirawyn Calatare: Altmer Magplar Healer - Traveling performer and bard who's 101% vanilla bean
Gondryn Beldeau: Breton Tankplar - Sarah's Mages Guild mentor and certified badass old person
Gwendolyn Jenelle: Breton Magplar Healer - Friendly healer with a coffee addiction
Soliril Larethian- Altmer Magblade DPS - Blind alchemist who uses animals to see and brews plagues in his spare time
Tevril Rallenar: Dunmer Stamcro DPS - Delthor's "special" younger brother who raises small animals as friends
Celeroth Calatare: Bosmer <insert role here> - Shapeshifting Bosmer with enough sass to fill Valenwood

    PC - NA - EP - CP1000+
Avid RPer. Hit me up in-game @Ras_Lei if you're interested in getting together for some arr-pee shenanigans!

I'm doing this now, since the AWA change. Started a brand new account. Its actually been a lot of fun just running one character and having them do Everything.

Because the data for quests you have completed has to be stored somewhere and the space for this has to be reserved for every character. So naturally you need some limit to calculate the space. So they choose 50, which hardly anyone ever reaches.

Most efficient is to do daily crafting quests on lots of alts first. Second is Cyrodil town quests once things has slowed down a bit there. Yes its other fast like the crow quest but its just one. The prologue dailies are also reasonable fast.

If you have an guild group you could do an Bolgruld group, slower but also level undaunted level for you and companions.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

The daily limit is outdated and should be abolished imo. There's no point to it, you gain nothing really all that special out of doing them, and if thats what someone enjoys doing, their already limited by only letting them do it once a day on that toon. Who am I to judge a time master wizard who can do that. That'd be like telling me I can only run 50 dungeons a day. I might not reach that cap most days, But it would bother the hell out of me if you told me that.

I haven't hit the limit of 50 dailies per day yet. But I'm not planning on doing anything but crafting on my alts during the upcoming event. And in case my main hits the limit it'd have been nice if the limit didn't force me to play alts when I don't want to.

Also, the 25 quests at a time is too low as well.

    Edited for spelling.

I agree that the cap is silly and I really don't see the point of it, but is this really an issue? The cap is 50 and is character specific . So, if you have 8 characters, your cap is 400. It's not unreasonable to assume that a chunk of players who are passionate enough to want to complete every daily will have paid for a few extra character slots. I don't know about the rest of you, but I certainly don't have the time in my day to do 400 daily quests, let alone more.

I play only one char and hitting the cap every day (in around 2-3 hours). So a accountwide daily cap, which are way higher than 50 would be more fair.
