Ok s o this happens to me after every patch. Last time after trying every suggested fix i ended up uninstalling and doing reinstall. so log on today after waiting for patch, same damn thing. Went through all the suggested fixes again, nothing worked so figured I'd do what work last time even though I don't want to wait 5 hours for the download. But guess what G-- D--- web site is down so cant reinstall. ***!!!

    Do you have Webroot antivirus?

    Okay - known issue with Webroot. Disable it until they update it, or add an exception for ESO.exe. Will fix.

    Oops. It's Webroot, I tried it earlier with another subscriber.

    It did not fix the issue for me...I was running the game fine before today's patch. Now, nothing happens when I click play. I have added the exception to Webroot, but still nothing happens. I'm not willing to disable anitvirus to be able to play. I hope there's a fix soon, because I won't wait forever.

    I should rephrase what I said above. I'm not willing to permanently disable my antivirus to be able to play this game. I did temporarily disable it, and, as Divayith says above, "bam, game loads."

    What is it you plan to do after hitting the play button? This may be the cause of this issue.

    Same thing happened to me after installing the latest patch;

    Rebooted...Disabled antivirus (not webroot)...Disabled firewall...Replaced information in user settings with text noted in other threads...Tried opening launcher as admin...then eso.exe as admin...Nada

    Deleted game and reinstalling now...

    If that doesn't let me play, I guess it's time to cancel my account? No point paying a monthly sub for a fancy loading screen.

    Well, deleting and re-downloading game did the trick...Let's hope this doesn't become a pattern.
