Why are you excited? :D

Look, i can't even afford it, but even if i had to wait years to play it, it would be an amazing experience.

I love uniqueness on quests.
collectibles.
mini games.
good puzzles.
bretons.
medieval vibes.
pirates.
Stealth.
The two new pretty companions (unless they don't let me kill enemies with blade of woe -.-")

And most important good main quests.
I heard there was no daedra evil we saving the world generic stuff. And i just got... Happy!

Look, i love, looove kenartis and stross sooo much, it was so sad they were such small zones. So yeah!

I understand people wanted a new skill line...
And ill just say. If it was something like the psijic skill line. Then...it's for the better there isn't one.
I hate the crystal weapon morph.
And that morph would had Never existed if not for the psijic skill line.

I wasn't especially excited for High Isle until my wife pre-ordered it as my valentines day present, and now that I know I've got it I am more excited! While the card-game doesn't sound like something I would like, it is another thing to collect and perfect.

I'm most excited for the new companions, because I've really enjoyed trying different builds with Bastion and Mirri, and with 2 new companion classes there will be more to experiment with. I really hope ZOS allow us to use up to 3 companions in "4 man" content, because that would open up some really interesting theory-crafting somewhere between the current solo-build vs meta-group-build thinking.

Anytime the map expands, especially into an area with little pre-existing lore then I'm excited for what new things we'll learn.

I hope that ZOS start up the hype train with sneak-peaks and previews as soon as the update 33 dungeons go live.

I like the flavor and vibe I'm getting from the teasers. In-game I usually care most about gameplay features like the antiquities system or companions, but even without that I'm kinda looking forward to this one, personally. Not that I'm anywhere near having completed even Summerset with how much I dawdle around, but I can definitely see myself hopping around the new area like an excited puppy in a room full of squirrels, when it comes out.

I'm excited to learn more about the Nedes, and in particular the Breton's Nedic roots. The lore has left this hook dangling for someone to do something interesting with it, to finally flesh out Bretons and give us a reason to be interested in them (like people are with the Dunmer or the Nords).

I think zos did a great job with bringing the Khajiit to life, and I loved being able to explore the sort of monastic and spiritual aspects of their homelands which somehow gels very well with their sort of innate, gypsy-vagabond thing you see with many of the Khajiit abroad. It felt organic and genuinely intriguing.

If they do as much justice to the Bretons as they did with the Khajiit, it will be amazing.

I know pretty much nothing about it. I'll save my excitement until after I know more. There is a card game. I don't know how it will play or if there will be any pay to win elements or if it will just be broken (in card game terms). 2 new companions but I don't know their skills or how they will help me passively. New content that I haven't experienced yet.

There is potential, but I'm not the kind of person to let hype cloud actual facts and information.

Once it hits PTS, I'll determine my excitement level and that's probably going to be a lot sooner than people realize.

Excited is too strong a word. I’m glad they’re going someplace that wasn’t covered in a previous game (looking at you, Greymoor, Blackwood). I might get excited later, when we know more.

Happy to know there are players who are looking forward to it… Wish I shared your enthusiasm and excitement…

When elsweyr was released, I got to spend the year learning a new class — figuring out what worked well and what didn’t. Then came antiquities and mythic items, which I had doubts about at first, but added many new possibilities for builds by breaking away from the old 5-5-2 convention. Then came companions. I got to spend the year working on their levels, gear and aesthetic. I’m big on solo play, so I enjoyed them quite a bit.

Next big release introduces a card game that I just don’t see myself getting invested in. Antiquities were a mini game too, but one that affected the game itself with mythic items. Unless the card game offers something similar, it will just be an aspect of the game I completely ignore while waiting for 2023.

Sorry to be a negative nellie here… Just the way I feel…

I'm only ever excited for a new land to explore. This time it being more or less a Tropical island chain (I do believe they said High Isle will be at least two islands). I can't wait to see how bright and cheery it is, see what the new House in the player hub is, the Hub itself, any idyllic scenery etc.

I fully expect the story dialogue to be just as hand holdy as ever.

I don't think I know enough yet to know whether I am excited for it.
If it is as engaging as the last mini game they put in (Antiquities) then I will likely enjoy it. But right now, I just do not know enough to give an answer.
I have already preordered the game, because I know I will enjoy the story. I have been lost in Tamriel for more than 20 years. I

I was excited because I always look forward to new story quests, and I've in general enjoyed them, even the crappy ones if they have characters I'm invested in (Fennorian in Greymoor is an example). I say WAS, because with the ZOS version of Account Wide Achievements, and the lack of response to the bugs it will bring, I'm basically done with ESO.

Agreed. There were definitely people asking for more side activities and I even heard the term card game thrown about from time to time long before it was announced.

I think the part that makes it feel disappointing to many is that it's the main feature of a new expansion, not just a side activity. I'm waiting to see if it's something I like or not. It might be amazing, but ZOS hasn't shared any solid details about it yet. In the absence of information, some players will often fill in the blanks with worst case scenarios and some will take the opposite approach and assume it will be the best thing ever. I can't blame them for that. We'll know more soon enough.

I am looking forward to the new area and a plot that isn't another save the world. If it's anything like Wrothgar, it should be good.

I'm also looking forward to getting the 2 new companions. I've got a tank companion and a healer, so I'm looking forward to adding a ranged and a melee dps.

I understand that, i am tired of glitches that never get fixed, but unless they are too bad i wont mind it that much.

The achievements becoming global was a good idea, but it not being a player choice was a huge mistake.

Ya , but that was a niche percentage of players. We already have Elder Scrolls Legends for that. Leave it to ZOS to not listen to the majority of players lol.

Apparently some people did ask for a card game or minigame of some sort, but I imagine it wasn't a collectible card game within the game they had in mind.

I wouldn't have minded a game like those back in the first Witcher-game, something easy and credible, but a collectible card game is pretty much the opposite of that. :/

I've been excited for every non-dungeon DLC and chapter except for this one. I'll still get this expansion because I enjoy new areas and the new quests, and I'm happy about the new companions. I'm just not excited about it.

No new skill lines. No new weapons. No new class. No new race. It just seems like it's light on content compared to other chapters. I'll still be really happy to see the new map, though.

I realized at reading OP that I'm not excited. I'm more like "humpfff... wait and see".

That's probably because what I read about was all about "companions" and "card game", both of no interest to me. So I can't help it, it doesn't sound like the content will bring much to me and I have more or less stopped waiting for it. Have not even pre-purchased.

I'm very excited for a story that doesn't involve some dramatic over the top apocalypse. Plus it's good that they're expanding on Breton lore. Tbh I find Bretons to be the most boring race. So maybe if they add more to it in the chapter, I might actually start to like them. I'm also a huge fan of... card games... I've played Hearthstone, Gwent, and legends too. So I'm actually really stoked to be able to do it in game now. It'll make a nice pass time between dungeon running lol

I'm curious about the lore and the story and pleased that we're going somewhere new which has never featured in an Elder Scrolls game before instead of revisiting locations which always seem to be sold mostly on nostalgia. (I was pleasantly surprised by Morrowind, Greymoor and Blackwood - the content in the game isn't nearly as focused on nostalgia farming but the marketing for all 3 put me off a bit.) I'm hoping we'll get to know more about not just the bretons but also the islands and maybe some hints of what's further west.

My big question right now is how big the map is, because it sounds very small and like there won't be a lot to do, which would be a shame given my interest is the story, lore and location. So I'm waiting for it to appear on the PTS before I allow myself to get too into it. But I'm definitely going to buy it, the only question is when and at what price.
