Horrendous lag on the US Megaserver - unplayable

Currently in Eastmarch (VR ranking) and there are massive lag spikes effecting everyone in the zone. if this is a known issue or something you guys are doing currently, can we get some warning. If neither of those are true, then you should be aware that eastmarch and possibly more places are currently unplayable.

    Yes; the lag is bad. doors not opening; black textures replacing whole rooms. Game freezing. Death by lag. Weapon drawing itself & swinging at thin air. This is on Stormhaven map.
    Went back to the game and my weapon had drawn itself again & set off one of the associated skills.

    I'm on an alt in Glenumbra, its been the same there for the last 20 minutes and seems to be getting worse.

    I haven't seen "unplayable," but it is really bad.

    We were getting it out in Reaper's March as well

    I also got dropped from the server for "sending too many messages", though I had not even used the chat system within the last 10-15 minutes, and haven't used the mail system in days!

    That's interesting. EU had huge lag yesterday, after a failed patch, but US servers were not patched, so why are you getting plagued by the same problem?
    Unless EU's lag yesterday was not the result of their meddling and failing to implement patch.

    I don't know, but I'm losing faith in zenimax. I know its only been a month, but at least past mmo launches, the dev team at least kept the player base (paying customers) apprised on what was going on in a general sense.

    This has just started within the past hour or so, I'm sure they'll address it soon if it continues to be a problem

    Shadowfen VR8 zone for Daggerfall, keep getting booted as lag last too long. Message says booted for sending too many message to server, lol.

    Happened to me as well; right after death by lag.

    Any people hear that play gw2 will be very familiar with lag - especially early in the year when the ddos attacks were taking place. Just keep in mind this could be outside Zenimax control.

    Yeah i just logged out its unplayable, all these maintenances and this...

    I've been getting these issue for weeks now as an Australian but today was the worst, i feel i wasted a lot of money purchasing this game..

    VR stormhaven was getting it too, had to stop playing it was so bad.

    Its not just this. I've been waiting for roughly 3 weeks now for a resolution to the bank bug. The last e-mail to their CS department was 6 days ago (and yes I've followed up) with no further communication from them. Its like they just don't give a damn about their paying customers.

    Only been effected by the lag once prior to this; playing out of New Zealand.

    We need to remember lag & latency issues can come from our end too.

    I'm just guessing and jumping to conclusions here but I've seen a ton of teleporting players in level 1 gear tonight. I suspect this might be lagging the server some, but I don't know anything.

    I still have faith since this is by far with no comparison the best mmo for me personally that I have ever encountered. Sure there are quite a few bugs, some downtime and problems like this lag, but overall I am enjoying it way too much to give up on a game just because of this.

    Logged off as well now though, the lag is far too bad. Just had a fight that should have taken a minute at most take 24 minutes. If I wasn't a healer it would have been very painful.

    Anyway, I'm quite sure the lag will be gone by the time I log back on later. :smile:

    Well considering that the "EU" server is in the Us as well....we most likely will be experiencing the same problems....except we get it 10 times worse, lol. Sucks all around though.

    It wasn't just the ESO servers last night, SWTOR and Diablo III were having huge lag issues as well. No idea why. Well actually I do have an idea why, but I wont say, because it will cause a firestorm of arguments.

    It had uber lag before the maint as well. I actually thought they did the maint to help fix it. Apparently not.

    There was a group of people I think they were called DERP (as stupid as that sounds) and they were ruining other games such as World of Tanks and League of Legends by DDoS'ing game servers about a month or two ago. They were flooding ISPs until the game was unplayable. That said, many people who weren't on these ISPs did not have any latency issues, which is consistent with what I saw tonight: some had lag like I did, and others said in chat that they had no lag at all.

    I really hope this isn't happening :s

    Lot of European countries were affected by those attacks (think they came out of Norway); parts of North American as well as Oceania. So it was quite wide spread.

    I wouldn't be surprised if they were coming from Russia atm...

    I understand that, its been selective for me mostly in instances etc till tonight, but the game seems to be my only one i'm having these issues with.
