Changes to Healer Spammable (Blessing of Protection, Combat Prayer)

...have increased the cost to 4860, up from 3510.

Increased the healing done from Blessing of Protection and Combat Prayer by approximately 36% and the duration of their effects to 10 seconds, up from 8.

What do healers think? CBP and morphs were the primary healing spammable, used for the burst heal at the start, then the buff.

    I think it's fine, it will hilariously punish bad healers that spam it to farm uptime % in logs. You can get good buff uptime without spamming it and still keep hots and other buffs active. The increased cost comes with increased buff duration as well, so the magicka spent over time wont be too different if used correctly.

    Pros: Easier to line up Minor Berserk with the rest of your buffs/de-buffs.
    Cons: Healers who run Spaulder will notice impact on sustain and will have to heavy more or find other ways to sustain
    Neutral: bigger tooltip. I looked at my CBP HPS end of last patch and a lot of it goes to over-heal, so you won't see game changing effective healing from it.

    Would be nice to see a fix to wonky targeting for Minor Berserk / Resolve from CBP.

    Here is the summary of whom and for how much my CP healed during Oax HM fight.
    Number shows - effective healing. I.e. 0 means all of the CP HPS went into over-healing.
    Color shows whether it applied minor berserk. Green - person did not have minor berserk and got it. Red - person had minor berserk and got it refreshed. Red and 0 means completely wasted proc. So if you see people with no color no number in a column that has 0 reds - CP prioritizes people who do not need the proc at all over people who might actually use it.
    This is Oax HM fight before kinras became meta. People blob together so it should have been hitting myself, OT and stack of 6+ DDs for the most part. Yet it manages to go on same people over and over and over. The start of the fight stats are the most discouraging to me cuz I would cast 5+ CBPs on DDs who are all in one small pixel stack before any mechanics start to add up and there still would be that one DD who did not get berserk for their initial burst.
    Summary: it is very not smart in its targeting.

    I don't think "bad healers" know enough to farm uptime. :joy:

    Would making it a smart targeter help with the increased cost?

    In most situations it's used as the primary burst heal spammable.

    For minimum, it needs cast 2x in a twelve person group to have a chance at affecting each person, which is assuming it hits correctly. That means 10k magicka over 7k.

    Four burst casts on a group: 20k now instead of 14k, for example, for your primary spammable.

    Most people are using Kinras anyway which gives Minor Berserk around the people.

    Kinras wont be meta forever. Kinras also has its own targeting issues.
    I don't think having set with similar buff is a good excuse for bad targeting logic on a skill. Not to mention there is also minor resolve component to it. In addition Wardens shrooms have same issue. PA got fixed (sort of), but CBP and Shrooms were not.

    It is honestly odd that they think this buff is helpful, when the vast majority of the time combat prayer is taken for the buffs, not blessing of protection for the healing.

    - The 10 second duration instead of 8 is nice as lines up better with other hots and buffs/debuffs.
    - The healing increase does not really needed, the current healing it provides is plenty enough, the extra healing will come just as overhealing most of the time.
    - The increased cost is a big drawback and really not good.

    I would rather prefer leaving the healing output as it is and only increasing the cost to balance the longer duration, maybe to 4000 magicka or so.

    The cost jump just brings the asylum resto back into meta and nothing more.
